Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Rena Takeda... Miyu Kitamuki... Nogizaka46!....Risa Watanabe.... Nanase Nishino!.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Also these days(mid-2017) have many posts for Korean actresses, dramas and films that are worth checking out as over the years have become a much bigger fan of Korean dramas versus the ones from Japan.

Few tidbits....
New item on the right is the 'Featured Post of the Day', will be putting some fabulous oldie posts which some of you may have missed the first time around, all will be at least one year old.

The new blog is up and running, there you will find 100% of the posts dedicated to actresses, dramas and films. That means you won't find those types of posts here any more which means you'll have to go there for posts featuring Erika Toda, Mio Imada, Tsubasa Honda, Park Min-Young and many others.

Yui Aragaki: Few more recent happenings....

The third season of 'Code Blue' did well in the ratings as it was the #1 rated Summer drama as it's average was 14.63%. However that's two points lower than season two but high enough where there's going to be a movie coming out next year. Not a TV one like there was after the first season but a regular cinema film which will begin where the third season ended off.
So far have only made it up to the third episode, will eventually finish it when the subs are completed as two more shows need to be done. No idea when the film will be coming out next year but bet Gakky will soon be taking one of her longish patented vacations. She seems to be busy for a stretch of 3-4 months every year then we go so long with out hearing a peep from her.

Gakky should remain in the spotlight for the rest of this month as her next movie "Mix" will be released on October 21st. The film looks really good and it's such a shame that us overseas won't be able to view it until well into next year. All those years of table tennis practice appear to put Gakky in another talent zone, no way would I want to face her in a match....

There was one screening for the film two weeks ago which featured the entire cast. But just Gakky and the other lead in the film Eita attended a special screening on October 5th. That event was held in Nagoya at the Midland Square Cinemas, sure we'll see at least one more event in the next two weeks.

Gakky isn't one who does a good job at maintaining her blog or other media accounts, someone from her Lespros agency does that for her and come to think of it she doesn't have a blog. There's been plenty of recent Twitter pics though for the "Mix" movie.

July's edition of Nylon Japan had a huge spread of Gakky with about 25 pics. But every other month she's only had four pages in the monthly mag and that's been going on for years so naturally there's just four pics from their November issue.

Final set of pics for today is from the November issue of More where she had two covers. Haven't been able to figure out the show's name(Everyone's News?) as Gakky was in Osaka on the fourth, she appeared on a local show promoting the new film and you can view the video after these pics.
