Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Keyakizaka46... Erina Mano... Nogizaka46!.... C-ute.... Lee Yeon-Hee!.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!
Also these days(mid-2017) have many posts for Korean actresses, dramas and films that are worth checking out as over the years have become a much bigger fan of Korean dramas versus the ones from Japan.
Few tidbits.... have no idea why the background color constantly changes, think Blogger keeps doing it.
New item on the right is the 'Featured Post of the Day', will be putting some fabulous oldie posts which some of you may have missed the first time around, all will be at least one year old.

Yuka Masuda: Another blast from the deep past....
Don't know if it's true but seems there's been so many more posts for the '48' family lately or many more than usual. Going to try to have a few more of these 'oldies' posts for a few other members who were once big faves when I was an AKB fanatic. None of those faves are immensely popular but quite a few have remained active in the entertainment industry.
Yuka is one who has been rather busy over the past year but hadn't really thought of her until recently. When I made that list up for 'Top Ten Hottest 48 Members' she barely missed the cut, would have Yuka in the 11th or 12th spot which is still impressive when there's been over 500 members. Unsure if she's gong to continue with her singing career but Yuka did release her first solo single last April 26th.
The main song was titled "Aishite te no", it reached #24 on the charts which to me is impressive as she hadn't done any music work since her December 2012 AKB graduation. Above is a video of the song and she's on the AVEX label. Have two of the covers here along with a few pics from an April 12th concert in Osaka where she debuted the song with some lame hip-hop guy.
Yuka's acting career seems to be doing well too as she's been in many dramas and films over the years. She wasn't nearly as popular as so many other AKB grads but seems she's been a bit more successful than most others. Yuka will have her first starring role in a film which is "Shunkan no Nagareboshi". Not much news on it but will have a future post or two for it and the movie will be released this June.
On to four mag spreads and these show why Yuka barely missed that top ten list, if you have the time she does have many YT videos that are must watches. This is the oldest of them which is from the May 9, 2017 issue of Young Champion, missed it as this is her first post in thirteen months.
Another somewhat oldie which is from last July and edition #29 of WPB.
For those wondering Yuka is now 26 and will be turning a year older on August 3rd. On December 21st she released her first gravure DVD which is titled "Memoirs". Next two sets are promoting the video with this superb collection being from the December 26th issue of Flash.
Final Yuka spread for today is from the January 26th edition of Friday.
At three pages that above set was just way too small. This is the cover of the DVD long with some promo pics for it.
On January 10th there was a fan meeting session for the DVD at the Fukuya bookstore in Shinjuku. The video was shot last October in Bali, at the event Yuka said she enjoys being in bathing suits but know we enjoy that more than she does. No video of the event but after the pics have the trailer for Yuka's upcoming "Shunkan no Nagareboshi" film.
