Tokyo was not what Fumie imagined, it was at first when she saw how big it was but the problem was Shigeru lived on the outskirts of the city, it was more of a country setting than a city setting, sort of got Fumie down a tad especially when she saw the rundown house they were going to live in. This is when we learn the though Shigeru is a fine manga artist his pay was quite low, that is if her got paid at all. He was a rental manga artist which means his books weren't sold in store but were sold to rental stores where readers would come in and rent them by the day or hour. This all came as a shock to Fumie, she thought the pair were going to lead a bit of a high style life, the complete opposite was true and though this week ends with our new couple struggling, especially Fumie, things are actually going to get worse.
Nao screenshots from this week's episodes with many voiceovers done by her deceased grandmother who also was the narrator for the show, this week was really the last time we see much of Fumie's family except for an occasional visit from one of her sisters who lives in Tokyo too but in a much better house.
