For the first 8 episodes did a mini recap for each of them but instead of doing that for the last 5 episodes thought I'd just do a one bigger review of what happened plus this is my 7th post in a row and my mind is getting much more mushier than normal, thought I could save some brain cells this way. For those first 8 episodes just click on one of the tags below and you can read and see what happened up until this point, for this post we'll be quickly looking at what happened for episodes 9-13, them being only 23 minutes each much happened but really only half of what happens in a regular length drama.
We left off in episode 8 with Mizuho(Tsubasa) looking for Narumi's brother thinking he was Origuchi's ex-boyfriend who had got her pregnant, she went to his old house but he was no longer living there as his mother said he had to move out when he was 20, this will also be happening to Narumi who will be turning that age in a month. Though she couldn't find the brother Mizuho and Yanai have managed to get a meeting with Narumi's mother and try to figure out what she is all about and why she had used her two sons as an experiment. But not much happened in that meeting which actually left Mizuho more confused than ever, also it was our only chance to see the other which was a shame as she had such a big part in what happened in this series.
Mainly through the efforts of Yanai the older brother of Narumi was finally found but he was not what they expected, he seemed to be the complete opposite of Narumi as he was quite a shy and timid person, plus he wasn't the ex-boyfriend of Origuchi's though he had really liked her and wanted to be with her but he was turned down by her as he had done a rather violent act in his past which left her so frightened of him yet on her death bed she had written a letter to him saying how much she really did like him, who knows what would have happened if she hadn't died. So now the case is back to square one, all the suspects were not Origuchi's boyfriends nor had any of them gotten her pregnant, now what path should they pursue?
This is going on longer than expected so to condense it down a bit, all of that happened by episode 11, in the final two shows it' revealed that Origuchi was never pregnant nor had ever had a boyfriend, seemed as though the kindhearted Origuchi had helped out a classmate named Hiromi who we've met here and there for the first 11 episodes but played a key part in these last two. Hiromi was actually the one who was pregnant and her boyfriend upon discovering this had disappeared but Origuchi had helped her out so much by arranging an abortion for her and sticking by her side the whole time but did it in secret so no one knew she had been pregnant nor that the two of them were friends. Actually these facts really didn't come out until the second half of the final episode, really came out of nowhere and left Mizuho, Yanai and a few other completely dumbfounded, along with perhaps a few of the viewers. And as far as the relationship between Mizuho and Narumi possibly starting up it didn't happen, the pair did meet at the conclusion of the last episode and Mizuho did reveal how much she really did like him but it went no further as she stated she couldn't be with him and slowly walked away as this drama came to it's end.
Perhaps the ending could have been a bit better or if the big secrets of Hiromi had come out earlier the finale would have been a bit more satisfying but overall zero complaints about anything that happened in this drama, went into this series blind but came out really glad that I took a chance on this as I enjoyed this show so immensely, highly recommend this drama to everyone as it turned out to be one of the better ones for 2012, think everyone would really enjoy this as much as I did and will give this a final rating of 9.4/10.
