We've finally reached the end of this drama, okay finale, had more episodes been like the last two could have given this a much higher recommendation.
Last episode ended off with Komachi(Tsubasa) trapping Sakurako(Aya), Hayato and the others in the cafe so the Count could have his way with them which was no doubt killing all of them. Komachi had 100% trust from the Count and it turned out to backfire on him as what I had thought was true that Komachi had used the trapping of everyone to actually set the trap for the Count! Komachi hadn't even told Sakurako of her plan and it seemed like it was going to go off without a hitch, Komachi was able to trick the Count into giving her his powerful heart, this is when she revealed to him that she had set a trap to dispose of him but just as quickly the Count was able to get his heart back and now it looked like curtains for everyone.
But one new secret that came out was that playing music actually soothed and made a vampire lose some of his powers which is how the Count came to be defeated, after some music was played he got put into the rays of the sun and rapidly disintegrated. So all was okay or so it seemed but what was to become of Sakurako and Hayato, this drama for the second half of it's run had focused on them possibly getting together, can a vampire and human be together? As it turns out the answer is no as near the end of the episode Sakurako kissed Hayato, a vampire rule was that if that happens then the human will die but that wasn't the case as Hayato seemed to become a vampire or perhaps a zombie, they didn't get into that angle at all except we see him at the end of the show walking zombie like as he passed Sakurako. She however after the kiss somehow turned into a human(!) and lost all memories of ever being a vampire and now was living as a normal human, even losing her memory of knowing Komachi for over 150 years. Komachi stayed the same though and remained in the human world where she was becoming a successful manga writer, her mangas were based on what she and Sakurako had gone through.
There were a total of 12 episodes, half were good like the last two, others really dragged even at only 23 minutes a show. Overall then would rate this a 7/10, there are worse dramas but was expecting so much more from this one so won't recommend it highly but being short episodes you won't be giving up too much time to watch it. Spring season for dramas was only so-so, Summer season though appears to be really good but it's taking a while for the new series to get subbed, have at least 5 I'll be watching including Tsubasa's new drama Shomuni 4 which should be much better than this, least she looked great as a vampire in this show.
