And know with the final episode as Eisuke has to decide whether or not to go to France by himself for the next two years to go through chef training or to stay in Japan with no good options available for him there.
With much agony behind his decision Eisuke has decided to leave the country and go through with the chef training. He was prepared to leave at any day but stumbled across his two kitchen helpers who were going to help him run his new restaurant in two years but they had been fired from their jobs and were going through some difficult times. This settled it for Eisuke who decided to remain in Japan and started working on the landlady and her husband to let him renew his lease for the restaurant. It wasn't easy to get her to come and taste one of his dishes, though he prepared an excellent French entree for her she still refused to let the restaurant stay.
But this is when everyone's fave Chie came to the rescue! She heard that the restaurant was opening for that occasion and she rounded up all the old customers to come down for one final night. However so many people showed up and had such a fantastic time the landlady was overcome with emotions and finally relented and allowed Eisuke to keep operating his restaurant. Eisuke heard about what Chie did and had no clue on what to do, he feelings were growing for her but just not enough where they would be together. And to Taku's credit, even though he really wanted her to be his girlfriend he knew how she felt about Eisuke and never once put her down for it, he was quite understanding and always there for her. In a twist ending Chie sort of jumped Eisuke in the kitchen and was about to finally have that romantic yet one sided kiss with him when.....
That 'when' will be left as a cliffhanger as maybe it'll give you a good reason to watch this drama, it far exceeded any expectations I had for it and now will have to revise my list for 2012 as this moved up to #1 for my fave drama from that year. Not a perfect series but there was zero wrong with it, moved at a good pace and had interesting characters and stories, highly recommend this show and will end up giving it a very high rating of a 9.5/10. Tons of Miori screenshots below to help you see more of what happened this last episode, she was the main reason I watched this drama and she was also the best in the show with her bubbly and charismatic acting but really 100% of the cast did a superb job.
