Won't call this movie a disappointment but was expecting something a bit different, to be honest if you've seen the drama and at least a few of the movies you could almost skip this as very little new things came out. What we learned was a bit more about a few of the major character's past, especially Toma and and Ninomae's but besides that it seemed too much like a rehash of what we've already seen.

So for the above reasons not going to make this too long as I've already talked about many of the things in previous posts. Few things I did learn or perhaps missed in the movies was that Toma and Ninomae are actually siblings except they don't know that as of course a SPEC erased their memories of each other. We did learn some good things about Toma's past though, for instance about how her parents died and how that led her to join the FBI. As an FBI agent she was stationed in NYC, at the time she didn't have her SPEC powers but met an American woman who did and they lived together until Toma was transferred back to Japan. Her American friend didn't have a long life after she left as Ninomae found out about her and it was quickly the end of her but using her SPEC powers she was able to show the scene live to Toma how she was killed.

One new character we met was Maho who was in a wheelchair and who was looking to find her parents killers. There were 7 in all and she used her SPEC powers which enabled her to rip their hearts out. On the 7th one she was going to kill the potential victim had hired Ninomae as a 'bodyguard' and killed her. However right near the show's conclusion Toma was able to bring her back from the dead for a brief spell to try and kill this final person which Maho was able to do. Also we go back in time with Toma's future partner Sebumi and how he had entered the police force and what incident led to his demotion. But we had already known most of what had happened with him, okay to have a brief refresher but we hardly learned anything new about his past.

Said in the beginning I was going to make this short and for once will do that. This truly could have been so much better, for instance we knew so much about most of the main character's past already, learning a bit more was fine but we didn't need a whole movie for that. I would highly suggest this for anyone who hasn't seen the drama or movies, you won't know everything about what has happened to date but you'' know most of what has happened, also I guess if you've forgotten most things this may work well as a refresher. Would usually give a movie like this a grade of a 7 but seeing how Erika was fantastic in it will bump it up to a 8/10, mainly recommended for those who haven't seen this series and are interested in it. One final note, what really was the disappointment was a lack of a cliffhanger, you would think there would have been one going into the two cinematic movies being released but there wasn't one, found that to be a bit strange that there wasn't. Below this post are a few other ones with a mega amount of screenshots from the movie, mainly of Erika but also have pics of everyone from it.
