Kie Kitano: Umi no Ue no Shinryojo drama episode 6 recap
Like last episode don't recall them saying what island the clinic boat was visiting but it's one of the islands in the Seto Sea which is inland between the islands of Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu. This time the story revolves around Mako's(Emi) childhood friend Izumi(Kii), she works as a home health aide, she owns the small company which just has two people working at it. Prior to that she was a gang leader of a small gang which Mako appears to have been a member of, the other worker who is employed by Izumi had also been a member.
However Izumi's small company is not doing well as she's lost many of her clients, there had been a small accident a few weeks prior which she was blamed for. The accident involved a slight burning of an elderly lady and her son blamed Izumi and her co-worker for it and started telling all the island residents how incompetent they were thus making them lose almost all their clients, the small comapny may need to shut down. Thanks to Dr. Kota though it comes out that the elderly lady has more health issue than what were previously known, when she was burnt she could not feel the heat nor her feet, actually her getting burnt may have been a blessing in disguise as now she could get the proper care she needed. Also Izumi had kept a diary of all of the ladies health problems which led Kato to discovering the other issues affecting the older woman. Th woman was leaving the island and tried to give Izumi her home but looks like Izumi turned her down and not sure why she did so. Her dream was to open a bigger health care house where she could care for many of the elderly people on the island, having the house would have enabled her to do so but for some reason she said no but it was still her dream to do so.
Of course Kato had fallen hard for Izumi and once again was planning on leaving the boat to get married, once again it didn't happen as Izumi had no feelings for him and never did, least not romantically. But her pudgy co-worker had fallen for Kato much to his dismay as he wanted nothing to do with her. And so ends the episode, the ones I've seen are really so simple, not going to say they're bad as they've been somewaht enjoyable, so far would recommend it on the 2 episodes I've seen so far but you're not missing anything if you pass on watching it. Ratings for it too have dropped from 15.6% for episode 1 to 10% for episode 7, others are probably thinking too that it's too simple of a series. Next post has a bunch of Emi and Kii screenshots from this episode, will be back soon to look at episode 7, did a post of Erika screenshots from that episode but unsubbed so will watch it again in the next few days hopefully with subs and will be doing a recap of that episode.
