Think it's going to be easier to review 2 episodes at a time, these two were fairly the same but perhaps in future episodes may need to do one at a time.
Episode 1 started out in the Fall of 2010 and at the beginning of the second show we're already in the Fall of 2010. The 6 pilot trainees figured they would be starting off with pilot training but that wasn't to be in these two episodes as they've had zero training in the cockpit though they still need to keep up with their studying. What they did in these two episodes was work in the terminal and the maintenance department, they're starting right from square one and learning everything there is to know about the aviation field.

In the terminal they are all assigned various duties, being a check in clerk, ticket inspector, etc. Little rough going for them at first, they all come from different backgrounds and they have a problem with meshing with each other and these job duties they were assigned. But of course, this being a drama, they all come together when it mattered the most and saved the day even though they're all rookies. Being the lead role Haru(Maki) has that knack for bringing them together, she may not be the smartest of any of them nor did she have their dream of becoming a pilot but slowly now she's sort of a 'leader', she doesn't lead them but the other trainees sort of follow what she says or does because it come straight from her heart.
They didn't pass working in the terminal with flying colors but they did get through that stage and for their next training assignment are now working in the maintenance hanger. Here they don't learn too much of the technical things which keep a plane flying and safe but learn a few other lessons. The main thing was the dedication all the mechanics have towards their job and how they pay attention to even the smallest details to make sure that plane is more than 100% safe. At first it was also tough for the trainees to grasp why they spent so much time on the most tiniest of details but gradually they once again came around and realize more why everyone from the lowest person in the chain up to being a pilot means as one slip up down the line could mean something severe, once again it was thanks to Haru that they all came around.

By the end of episode 3 we're already up to January 2010, about 14 months passed in these two episodes! But the important thing now is that all 6 of the trainees have passed working outside a plane and learning everything that happens before a plane is in the air. Episode 4 then is when the trainees start learning to be a pilot, it's been a solid watch up until now but think this will make the drama a bit better, it has been a tad fluffy at times but I'm still enjoying this show quite a bit. Next two posts have a mega amount of Maki screenshots from these episodes, she looks really terrific in this show too but then she always does.
