Isharyo Bengoshi drama: episode 2 recap and screenshots

Air Time: Thursday night's at midnight on NTV, started on January 9th, first 2 episodes averaged a 4.5% rating, length of the show is 43 minutes.

Main Cast:

Naoki Tanaka as lawyer Yukio Hakamada
Akiko Yada as Kanae Kurasawa, aspiring manga artist and divorced in episode 1
Naomi Watanabe as Kurumi Umemoto, private eue
Nami Iwasaki as Rino Shinozuka, college student who works PT at the Tanaka's office
Jun Miho as landlord Toshie Toyama
Nana Yamada as the spaced out waitress Sara Mizutani

Better episode this time around, was actually much more interesting as unlike the divorce case in the first episode this time the parties battle it out in court. Tanaka says most of the verdicts go for the person seeking the divorce but the alimony is usually much lower.
There were 2 cheaters in this episode as they were both married and the female also had a little daughter. The pair met up at a high school reunion, though they weren't close in school they somehow hit it right off and have had an affair which has lasted some months now. The wife, Kiyomi,  whose husband was cheating on her has some excellent evidence as she had followed the pair around and has many pics of them together along with many pics of them going to a love hotel quite often, The woman who was cheating on her husband really fights back hard though as she would also have to pay a settlement to the woman who is trying to get a divorce. She will not sign any agreement and instead wants to fight it out in court.

In court the woman is one smooth liar as she has concocted some stories about what really happened and on a couple of occasions it looked like these lies would be good enough to sway the verdict in her favor. But Tanaka is one diligent lawyer and through a couple of ingenious finds proves that the woman's stories are all lies and the verdict goes against the cheating woman who now has to pay Kiyomi 2 million yen, there never was any mention if her husband found out about her cheating and the amount of alimony she had to pay. Kiyomi's husband was really happy for her winning as he for some reason thought she would take him back and forget about his cheating ways, that wasn't to be the case though as she hands him the divorce papers and now he too is going to be owing her a big alimony settlement.

May have rushed through the recap a bit too much but it really was a much better show than the first episode, if they're all like this one then this will turn out to be a fairly decent watch. Ratings for the first two episodes have averaged 4.5%, don't know if that's a good figure or not for the time period as the show airs at midnight but seems like it would be a respectable number. So far these have been the only 2 episodes subbed so will be back once two more have been completed as I'll be reviewing 2 episodes at a time. Next post once again as many screenshots from this episode.
