Maki Horikita: Miss Pilot drama episode 11 recap and screenshots

Main Cast:

Maki Horikita as Haru Tezuka, pilot in training
Saki Aibu as Chisato Oda, pilot in training, the one flunkee
Takumi Saito as Konosuke Kinukida, training instructor
Koichi Iwaki as Kazutoyo Shinozaki, pilot
Shotaro Mamiya as Taiji Kishii, pilot in training
Yu Konayagi as Sho Kotari, pilot in training
Nanami Sakuraba as Suzu Abeno, Taiji's girlfriend

Going to try to keep this short, was a bit of a disappointing finale, was hoping for a longer show with more suspense but sadly that wasn't the case. The five remaining trainees have passed all their test and to start off this episode were in the midst of doing OJT on a real 787. We didn't see much of them in a plane but all passed once again and now have been certified to become a co-pilot. Time now as you'll see in some screenshots is close to Christmas, the training has been going on for over 3 years now.

Only real event that happened in this episode was with Haru who was scheduled to be on her first flight as a co-pilot on X-Mas eve. The flight was to Sapporo where they were having a major snowstorm, the flight was successful up until they were going to land the plane but the visibility was just too poor so they headed back to Tokyo. Previews made it out as it was going to be a 'on the edge of your seat' episode with that, it was nothing close to suspenseful at all. That scene could have been so much better, guess they did the right thing by returning to Tokyo but it did make for a rather boring scene, why even bother setting something like that and not going through with something more interesting. And that really was all that happened in this last episode, really the most boring show of all the 11 that aired, really fluffy with hardly anything interesting that occurred, truly was a letdown as the this was a solid drama up until to this point, they almost could have stopped after episode 10 seeing this was the best they could offer.

All in all it was an enjoyable series, probably 8 out of the 11 episodes were quite good, few like this last one weren't but still would recommend watching it. Maki did a solid job in the drama, have heard a few others cut her performance down though but I thought she was fine. Also fine was Saki, would have been better to see if the relationship between her character Chisato and their instructor would have worked out. Finally kept a recap short, when not much happens in an episode it's easy to do that, will give this a final rating of about an 8/10, rounded up a bit to get to that, would have been higher if not for this final show. And hopefully we won't have to wait as long for Maki to be in another drama, this was her first one in 2 1/2 years, most of her series to date wouldn't be considered classics but I really enjoy watching the dramas she's in, hoping the next one will be sooner than later.
