Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Mayu Matsuoka: An introduction....

It's good to have some 'new blood' or faces here, think sometimes I get into a rut, a good one at least, of posting about the same people all the time but then again they are my faves and I do follow them much more closely. This is Mayu's first post here and am planning on doing a few more in the near future, before I forget she turned 20 exactly two months ago. She does have the lead in a new drama starting up this Saturday, more info on that below plus it's one that I'll be checking out even if it doesn't have subs.
Seeing how this is Mayu's first ever post here there will be quite a few old things to catch up on, have noticed her in a few older dramas and even though she hasn't had huge roles she does have a face which kind of sticks with you in a good way. She doesn't have too many mag spreads but there's so many pics of her doing various things, will be getting to those here and in future posts but this first small spread is from Weekly Ascii #935 from 2013.

Really nice spread here from the December 9, 2013 issue of Big Comic Spirits.

Mayu is going to be in at least three movies this year and while she doesn't have the lead role in any of them she does have fairly big parts, think I'm going to check out a few of her older films as she's been in more films than dramas. Just five pics here from the premiere of her last movie "Samulife" which came out on February 28th.

Few pics from a new interview for Mantan-web, few more pics there too if you visit the site.

Last thing as I need to spread everything out over a few posts is that Mayu will have her first lead role in a drama starting up on the 18th, series is called "She" and will be airing on Fuji-TV. It's only going to be a five episode series but looks to be an interesting mystery drama, the site address for the show is www.fujitv.co.jp/she/index. There's a short trailer out for the show which you can view after these screenshots from it.
