This will be a shorter recap than usual as the Bemars didn't play a game this week but starting this Friday they're in the championship game against the powerful Polaris team, that game will probably last for two episodes. Thought this was a solid episode though I do enjoy watching them play in games but those games seem to take up only about a 1/4 of a show.

We ended off episode 9 with the Bemars winning their semi-final game in dramatic style again in the bottom of the seventh but shortly after that they learned some bad news. That news was that Nanamaru's Su-Ro-To pitch which no team can hit will prove to be ineffective against the Polaris team as they had a mini contest with the Polaris catcher Shelly crushing Nanamiaru's pitch seemingly to the next county. Looks like the only way for the Bemars to have a chance in the game is for Nanamaru to invent a new pitch which took up most of this episode.
All her mates chipped in with ideas to develop a new pitch, especially Harvard who as you can tell by her name is the smartest of the bunch. She did create a new pitch that would work however Nanamaru physically cannot throw the pitch, even if she could throw it once there's no way she could for an entire game.
However Nanamaru had a flashback to her younger days when she used to go bowling with her father who was the best bowler int he area. She once saw him throw a strange ball at the alley which somehow stopped rolling yet kept spinning, could she possibly throw a pitch similar to that?

After a bit of practice looks like Nanamaru will be able to throw that kind of pitch as she faced off against the Bemars best hitter who is Marukyu. The pitch stopped a few inches in front of Marukyu and when she swung at it the wind current from the bat made the ball sink which may make it an impossible pitch to hit.
That's really all that happened in the episode, there was a little bit of tension among the Bemars players as some thought that Nanamaru was being pushed to hard which it turns out is true. At the end of the show Nanamaru is looking at herself in the mirror and her back is quite sore and bruised from throwing all these difficult pitches. There's two questions then as the team goes into the championship game, will Nanamaru's shoulder and arm be able to last seven innings against the Polaris team? But even if it can how are the Bemars going to score against the Polaris team as Kirei is by far the best pitcher around, perhaps in the whole of Japan as far as softball pitchers go. Before I forget Kote has named the pitch "Denial", most of the other Bemars players didn't like the name but looks like it's going to stick.

That final game starts this Friday, would think it would last two episodes but maybe it'll last more, still haven't heard exactly how many episodes there are. Undecided how I'm going to post about the game, it may be easier to do the next two episodes in one post if the game does take that amount of shows. Will let you know though what the plan will be in advance and will still do a recap of the next episode though it'll be a very mini one so as not to give away any spoilers. As usual check out the next post for a huge amount of screenshots from this episode.
