HKT's latest single which came out on April 13th, "74 Okubun no 1 no Kimi e", has really been a bit of a disappointment. First week sales were 238,000, since then they've sold about 13,000 copies to bring the total to 251,000+. Appears it's going to end up as the group's lowest selling single to date unless a miracle pops up which doesn't look like it'll happen as sales last week were just over a thousand.
Think all the '48' subgroups have suffered a similar fate with their latest singles, perhaps fans are just getting a bit tired of the groups though this song wasn't a bad one and probably deserved a better fate. But wonder if a reason for the decrease in sales is because of management's decision not have the videos on YT? Thought a PV was to increase sales and they used to have them on YT before a single came out but the last few years management has said no to having videos on YT, maybe with sales lagging they'll come to their senses about that decision.
Least Sakura is looking mighty fine these days though it seems as she's lost a bit of weight, she's always been thin so hope that weight loss stops real soon. Perhaps another photobook from her would help the group's sales out, her first and only one came out last July but haven't heard any news about a second PB. Three mag spreads today and they're all good sized ones too beginning with this fine set from the May 24th issue of Young Champion.

Didn't occur to me until now so need to go check which is what position Sakura will have on AKB's next single which is coming out next month. On their previous one she was the center but that may have been due to the fact the the word 'Sakura' was in the title.
