C-ute: The 'C-ute Singles series' #18- "Kimi wa Jitensha Watashi wa Densha de Kitaku"
Mainly have just posted about three J-Pop groups over the years with those being Nogi, AKB and C-ute. Things here are just like they are in the real world where C-ute's record sales pale in comparison to those two other groups. What I meant by that is that their post views here also are quite low compared to AKB members and especially any post for Nogi. They still do have a devoted following here which is nice to see, hope you're enjoying this series which will be coming to a close after the 12th single.
The year 2012 was a bit of a slow one for the group as they only released two singles, that also happened in 2016 and let's hope 2016 isn't a repeat of those years. Bit of a long title which translates out to 'You Ride Your Bicycle While I Catch the Train Home'. This also at the time was C-ute's biggest selling single by far, first week sales were 40,00 copies sold while no other single had sold more than 30,000 in it's first week. These days their singles routinely sell 60,000+ copies it's first week out but they've kind of stagnated lately with their sales. There were seven(!) versions of this single, above are two of the covers while each member had their own cover for one of the versions and before I forget this single came out on April 18th, 2012.
Much harder finding things for their older singles, actually I'm thinking there wasn't as many things back a few years ago such as H!P cards. Then again the group wasn't nearly as popular back then which is probably the biggest reason for such a shortage of cards and promo pics. Often I do say that there's so little for an older single yet this post has well over 70 pics!
Two small mag spreads for the single, both of these are June issues with three pics from Junon and the others are from Top Yell.
Hope there aren't things I've missed, this idea to do this just came to me an hour ago as there was zero new things to post about tonight but then again I really do enjoy posting about these gals. The group always performs their new songs at a min concert and 2012 was no different as they held a performance to promote the single on April 21st.
Whew, were coming close tot he end as this has turned out to be a long post. The group had a Sims dating game which you could download, that game came out in March. Plenty more cards for it so may post the rest in the future, in order we have Maimi, Saki, Airi, Chisato and Mai.
