Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Erika Toda: Few recent happenings....

Finally hit post #300 for Erika, probably not a huge milestone but she's only the second person to hit that mark. What would be really impressive is hitting 500 posts for her, unless I keep this up for at least five more years that seems like an impossible number to hit.
"Blade of the Immortal" will be her next film and it's coming out on April 29th, let's hope we see a lot of her promoting the movie. Would think the 'Death Note' movie from 2016 would be coming out soon on DVD, that's the third in the series as Erika once again did the role of Misa.

As most of you know season three of 'Code Blue' will start in July. Have started to recap the first season but will put that on hold for a bit. There's still over three months to go before the third season starts so don't want to get too far ahead but will probably continue with the recaps next month, also will be reviewing the second season.
There's one older drama that I'll be recapping soon which is "Lost Days" but there's also a few new shows that need to be checked out. The most obvious one is "Reverse", anything that stars Erika is definitely a must watch. Looks to be quite an interesting series so expect many upcoming posts for it.

The show starts next Friday night on TBS, it'll be airing at 10:00 pm. Her co-star in the drama is Fujiwara who most people know of and the pair also starred together in the 'Death Note' films. There's quite a few web interviews the pair have done over the last few days for the show with Modelpress, Mynavi, Mantan Web and many more. Have a few pics from some of them here and in two of the pics is Kanae Minato who wrote the novel the drama is based on.

Magazines with Erika have been severely lacking over the last few years but she graces the cover of the May edition of Tokyo Calendar.

Erika has been promoting the Suntory product '75%' for at least five years and she has a new CM for them that was released last week. You can view it after these pics and with her is Nao Omori who she ended up getting married to in the excellent 'Bookstore Michiru' drama from 2013.
