Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Juice=Juice: "Jidanda Dance" single news plus happy birthday to....

Last Juice=Juice post was for their 2015 single "Wonderful World" which has been their only #1 song to date. At the time said I wasn't going to be doing a 'singles series' for them but changed my mind on that though there won't be many posts. Won't be going further back than than that single so up next is "Next is You" which was the theme song to their "Budokan" drama, hopefully will have that post tomorrow.
Most Hello Project groups have radio shows and JJ is no different. Their show is called 'We are
Juice=Juice' which airs Tuesdays at 10:30 pm on Bay FM 78 and they've been doing the show since 2013. All five members are hosts though usually not at the same time, two or three take turns each week. You can find the audios for almost every show on YT, top pic here is from this week as the two hosts were Akari and Tomoko.

"Jidanda Dance" is the 12th single for JJ and their ninth one for a major label, B-side of the single is "Feel! Kanjiru yo". Their first major label single was "Romance to Tochuu", that's my fave tune from the group and is in my top ten of all time as it's that fantastic of a song. Have never posted a video for it yet but will do that in an upcoming post, so many live versions are must watches.
The new single is coming out on April 26th, bit early for videos but when a full length one comes out will have it here and that will be part of their 'singles' series'. Covers for the single just came out yesterday, there will be five versions of it.

The group's H!P site just uploaded some really nice pics this week. In order with two pics each are Yuka, Tomoko, Sayuki, Karin and Akari.... oldest to youngest.

The birthday member is the group's captain Yuka, she turns 23(!) tomorrow or as it's April 2nd now in Japan she's already celebrating it. Yuka isn't the most popular member so bet not many sites have wished her a happy day, hopefully it didn't upset her too much.

Not mad at us I certainly hope though this isn't going to be a long tribute at all. Yuka updates her blog quite often, not today yet but these are from the last two years.

Yuka does not look 23 or at least not to me, as a matter of fact when she was twenty she still could have passed for fifteen. Have a few assorted pics here, she could definitely do with having second and thirds at the dinner table though I kind of think she has an attractive quality about her. After the pics check out a video that came out in 2016 called "Greeting". Have watched the entire thing five times, it's kind of lame but enjoyable and you'll see what I mean about her having seconds at the dinner table.
