Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Rena Takeda: 2017 Magazine scans #4 plus more....

This is Rena's fourth post for mag spreads this year though most have had only two of them like this one does. She's really slowed down on her mag appearances and the main reason for that is because she's concentrating more on her acting career. It's paying off as she has the female lead in a new film and more info on that below.
Rena will also have her first co-starring role in a drama which is titled "Maji de Koukai Shitemasu". The other lead is Marie Iitoyo who has become a huge fave of mine so looks like that'll be a drama I'll be checking out. The series only will be lasting for five episodes, start date for it is July 2nd on MBS, it'll also be airing on TBS. It's a late night show which is about two university students who want to become ship navigators, that's a storyline I've never seen before.

On to the two mag spreads, both of course are superb but wish Rena would increase her appearances in them and before I forget she'll be turning twenty on July 27th. That date is when Rena Matsui will be turning 26 and both were in the recent "Million Yen Women" drama. First Rena spread is from the June 13th issue of Weekly Ascii which is actually a website.

Rena is the cover gal for the June 8th edition of Young Jump, it's rare when a month goes by without her appearing in one of their issues.

The title of Rena's first major movie role is "Papa no Obento wa Sekai Ichi", it has the English title of Dad's Bento(lunch). It's the story of a man who make her daughter's lunch every day during her three years of high school, sounds like one of those warm heart bonding stories.
The premiere took place on June 10th at the Human Trust Cinema in Shibuya. Plenty of pics here from the event along with a video of it.
