C-ute: Final VA℃ATION cards and video
Seeing as how there may never be any more C-ute cards, mag spreads or really anything been trying to space out these final posts for them. As the two other C-ute fans here know the group disbanded on June 12th with a final concert at the Saitama Super Arena, that place holds over 30,000 for concerts. Have watched that final performance, it was definitely a bit sad when they were singing the final tunes but for the most part it was a joyous occasion. The five members have/had been together for twelve years, the list is short of groups who have had such a stable lineup for that many years.
C-ute did go out in a somewhat high note too with their last two releases. Their final single "To Tomorrow" is their second biggest seller and isn't too far behind the top selling single. Their greatest hits album "Complete Singles Collection" has been their biggest selling album to date though it has sold only 22,000 or so copies. Never understood why their albums never sold better, the non-singles on them are almost as good as the hits and on some occasions they're better.
For some future posts will let you know what's happening with the gals, not much has changed since they disbanded except they no longer perform together. Four of them have opened Instagram accounts and they seem to spend more time than ever together lately. Saki still does her weekly 'Nakky' show along with being a host of Saturday's 'P-Bowling' show. She's also been doing a variety show with Maimi that started in January, not sure if she's also continuing on with her radio show. Have done many solo posts for Airi this year, will do another soon for her latest activities.
We(I) still believe in C-ute, hopefully can keep saying that a year or more from now. The gals took their final vacation as a group from May 28th to the 30th down in Okinawa. Plenty of cards here for their vacation and after them you can enjoy a promo video as there will be a DVD of it coming out soon, they also have a DVD coming out next week for their appearance at the 2017 'Hina Fest'. Do have many more cards for their final tour and concert so there will be a few more group posts coming up soon. As usual the order of the members is Maimi, Saki, Airi, Chisato and Mai.
