Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Mina Oba: (very)Few recent happenings....

Never enough things about Mina to post about and seeing as how she's 25 now that probably won't change. One new mag spread at the bottom and it's so terrific as usual you wonder why she doesn't appear in more of them, still think she's the most deserving Idol who has never had a photobook.
SKE's latest single is titled "Igai ni Mango" and it was released on July 19th. First week it of course was #1 on the Oricon charts as it sold close to 273,000 copies. Better sales than the group's previous two singles but still a huge drop from SKE's heyday when they would sell 400 K or so it's first week. As a matter of fact single #17 sold 640,000 copies in it's first week back in 2015, this was also the group's first single in close to a year.

On July 13th Mina was in Miyazaki to hep promote the single. She was appointed as a one day mayor and the city even changed it's name for the day to Mango, the regular mayor had actually started a mango campaign back in June. The fruit is grown in the Miyazaki prefecture, while there Mina also gave a speech at the Nango junior high.

Some pics from the last few weeks from her Twitter page and SKE's Ameba blog. Like that first pic, wonder if she's a fan of you-know-what-group?

Mina finished 13th last year on my top faves list, few more new things for the rest of this year should enable her to stay around the spot. Would say for about a year or so now Mina has been #1 to me for having the best mag spreads, can't understand why there aren't more but perhaps the competition is tough as there are so many Idols. This dazzling set is from the September 1st edition of Young Animal Arashi, though she only was #13 for me last year her looks should make her first...whewwww.... After the stupendous pics is a short video of her visit to Miyazaki.
