Nogizaka46: Happy 19th birthday to.... Asuka Saito!
Spur of the moment decision for this post as I had just about forgotten that there was a Nogi b-day on the 10th, there's quite a few of them for August. Can't say I'm a huge Asuka fan though have gotten to like her much more over the last year, getting older may be the biggest reason. Actually never disliked her just prefer the older members or gals in general so much more.
Asuka is looking much more grown up, seen a few recent variety shows and she's really much more mature. Here's a few oldies from November 2013 to compare her recent pics with and this set is from the Natalie 'Power Push' series. That was an excellent series which was discontinued at the end of 2014 but they always had some fine pics in the sets which also contained mini interviews.
Mentioned a few times recently that Nogi has a new app coming out at the end of August, one in which you can wake up to your fave member's voice. These are a few Asuka promo pics for the app.
Asuka has been an exclusive Larme model for two years now. She's also one for Sweet yet her spreads for them are just two pics in each issue. This pair is from their August issue and following them are some July cards.
Most everything is new and as much as I think that Asuka's happenings are kept up with was surprised that 90+% of the pics are brand new. Nogi's has a tie-in with the new 'Wonder Woman' film as they have a song for it on the new single, these are from the movie's premiere two days ago.
May have rushed through this a bit too quickly but as mentioned just struck me it was Asuka's
b-day about half an hour ago. Her first photobook has sold tremendously with sales over 120,000 to date, it came out on January 25th. At the time wondered how well it would sell as she's not exactly what you would consider a gravure model.
Viewer commented that it would probably sell well as he has many more female fans than any other member and they were right with that assumption. Final set is a huge one as Asuka graces the cover of the September/October issue of CM Now. Short video which is a fun watch follows them which is an old clip from Nogi's now defunct 'Doko?' show, think it's one of the first ever videos of her.
woah...huge difference. must be the hair
