Those two seem to be good friends though perhaps for not too much longer, more on that at the bottom of the post. HKT released their tenth single "Kiss waa Matsu Shikanai no Deshou ka?" on August 2nd. Of course it hit #1 on the Oricon charts as every single of theirs has. However first week sales were just 199,000 copies sold which is their lowest total to date, group's previous single had been the lowest for first week sales with 210,000 copies sold. It was the group's first single since February, think the members need to concentrate more on HKT versus AKB activities.
Just two Sakura spreads for today but they do total about 25 pics and she really looks better than ever in all of them. First off are some Instagram pics which are also very superb.
Always thought Sakura was okay looking but not in the same class as other Idols. This past year though her looks have improved so much and some of that may come with being older. She's also gained a few pounds which helped as thought she was way too thin but at least in a good way. First of the two sets is from the August 25th edition of Young Animal.
This is another better than fantastic pics from the September issue of EX-Taishu. She didn't make it last year but with pics like these think Sakura may make her first appearance on my 'Top Twenty Faves' list, kind of dreading figuring out where to position everyone.
Watched the first 3-4 episodes of "Tofu Wrestling" but just couldn't get into it. That's rare as I really do enjoy Idol dramas, one reason was that it was 22+ episodes versus a normal run of ten. Also it was kind of hard to believe such small and thin gals like Sakura could be championship wrestlers.
Then again had forgotten all about it, maybe now that it's finished it's run will give it another chance as I like her and Jurina quite a bit who was the co-star of the series. Have no idea how it ended but perhaps it didn't as there's going to be a grudge match between the two champs.
On August 16th Sakura and Jurina were at a press conference to announce a special event for the show. It'll be taking place August 29th at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, the event will also be streamed on SkyTV. In the show their character's names were 'Cherry Miyawaki' and 'Hollywood Jurina', know they fought for the championship but don't know who prevailed but have a clue on who probably did.
Not positive on all of the details but it's going to be more than just wrestling at the event, there will be six matches plus certain games and races. Sakura has never seemed too athletic to me but Jurina is one superb athlete, seems as though she can do everything well. At the event which is already sold out there will be many other '48' members besides Sakura and Jurina.
Looking at the guest list right now and there will be many members from AKB and SKE who will be participating along with a few others from the other sister groups. Have a few pics from today's press conference, will have more info about it and perhaps even a recap of the battles. The title for the event is 'Tofu Wrestling: The Real 2017 WIP Climax' and after the pics there's a video of today's event with our two main attractions.
Gotta agree with ya there on her looks improving greatly over the years. It just hit me tho that those two are pretty much the same age
ReplyDeleteThey were both born in March though Jurina has her by a year. The pair have been around for so long it's hard to believe how young they are. Noticed the younger Idols start the shorter their careers end up being or at least staying in a group.
