Up Up Girls: The 'Azusa Sekine post' #1....

The last few years have listened to Up Up Girls more than most J-Pop groups as their music is really fun, upbeat and catchy. Outside of Minami who has ten posts here don't know the other members that well so am planning on having these intro posts for the other six gals. Six in the group are twenty or older and the one who isn't will be hitting that age in November.
However will also be including one of the group's singles with these intro posts, to date they have 22 of them. Two have made the top ten but their songs are all so good they really deserve better sales though they do draw good sized crowds for their concerts. The single for today is "Summer Beam" which was released on July 24, 2013. The group's three previous singles had made the top forty, for some unknown reason this song only made #42 on the charts. Above is a cover for the single plus have a concert version of it as Up Up Girls performances are so fun.

The group will be needing two new members as next month Minami and Ayano will be graduating. The former is the leader of the group but don't think that Azusa will be taking that spot as she's the second youngest member. She's not that young though as she turned 21 back in June, Azusa has been a member of the group since they formed in 2011.
They're not an official Hello Project group but in a way they are as they appear on all of their shows and perform at many of their concerts. They're a bit of a short group as Azusa stands just 153 cm tall and she's not even the shortest gal in the group.

That's a recent blog pic while the first one is from 2014, you can see the difference between the ages of 18 and 21. Have a good supply of pics today but holding some back as would like to have a few more Azusa posts, the more you look at her the more you realize how attractive she is. Like most UUG members Azusa doesn't have many solo mag spreads though the group does appear in many with all seven members.
Will be having plenty of those when I start posting about the group so just one official spread for today. It's a fine set of pics though wish it was ten times bigger and these are from UTB+ which came out in September 2014.

The Hustle Press site isn't an official mag but it's awful darn close, most of their Idol features have pics which are better than mags plus there's always a plentiful supply of them. Azusa was interviewed by the site back in June of 2016 and these pics definitely made me sit up and notice her.

There's another site which has many UUG features and that's GirlsF. Not just one member either as they have many interviews with all of them plus some group articles. This first set from them is from May when they were promoting their last single, all of the members had an interview.

Pics from another Azusa interview for GirlsF which was done in November 2016.

All of the UUG members do a solid job uploading pics to their blogs and Twitter. Too many of them though are group pics and here's a few Azusa has posted the last few months.

As you may have noticed Azusa wears the color orange quite often, that's her color in the group and all of the members have their own color. Ending off with some superb concert pics plus she recently hosted a 'Hello Station' show and you can view the video after the pics. The shows are a bit long but are always very informative and fun, opening tune is one from Juice=Juice.

  1. 153cm and still not the shortest?? good lord. That's a cool name she got there tho 'Azusa'. Summer beam was a fun watch, you basically just said what i was gonna say, upbeat and all that haha. I only know a few songs but 'Jumper' is currently my fave song from them

  2. "Jumper" is a really cool tune, almost posted that one. Hard to tell the heights of the gals in a group when they're all about the same size. Saki is the tallest at 165 cm which is a normal height but three are shorter than Azusa with one only being 145.5 cm!
