Sayaka Yamamoto: A (lot) little of this and that....

The last fourteen or so months the only times we've heard much from Sayaka is when she's released a solo album. NMB has been so quiet this year as they've released zero singles though their third album come out on August 2nd. It hit number one on the charts but to me it wasn't an impressive collection of songs as on the regular edition only three of the seventeen tunes were new.
There was one prediction I was wrong on and that's about Sayaka's graduation. A year ago said in a few posts that I'd be shocked if she was with NMB for another year, guess then have to say I'm shocked. Looks like there will be no action on that until next year then, kind of getting the feeling her and many other members have lost a bit of interest in the group but three weeks ago they did finish their mini arena tour.

Those are the two covers for Sayaka's second solo album "Identity" which came out on October 4th. Oricon didn't release last week's sales figures yet but noticed it was in the second position in it's first two days out. Will have the copies sold in her next post which should be upcoming soon as there's been so many new happenings.
If you're a Sayaka fan think you'll be enjoying this post as there's over sixty pics. With the new album out naturally Sayaka has been doing much promoting for it, these are some pics from a Modelpress interview that took place last week.

Few older things here as these are AKB/NMB cards from the last few months.

Have three recent Sayaka mag spreads today and will have more in her next post. All look quite superb though if you know her sets from years back then you'll agree the spreads have become much more conservative. First off is quite a huge pictorial from the September 28th Tokyo Walker.

Did a post earlier today for a Korean Idol and was talking in that post about the heights of Idols. Seems the ones from Korea are much taller as most of their heights are well over 165 cm. Can't say that for Japanese Idols whose height is usually below 160 cm, may not look it but Sayaka stands just 155 cm. She didn't participate in this year's June elections which was another sign that she was thinking of graduating. Fine set here is from the October 9th edition of Young Magazine.

Sayaka was the cover gal for all of today's spreads, final one is from the October 10th Flash.

There was more promoting of the "Identity" album on October 7th as Sayaka was at the Tower store in Shibuya. She performed a mini set of four songs at the store's Cutup Studio where many artists promote their new songs. The first single off the album is "Joker", like I mentioned above the Oricon sales figures aren't out yet but the number to beat is 50,000.
That number is what her first album "Rainbow" sold in it's first week out, that album was released last October 26th. Sayaka was at another promo event at Tower on October 4th when she was a sales associate at the Shibuya store. If she was a clerk sure she could sell me anything under the sun or perhaps even the Brooklyn Bridge. Pics here are from the mini concert though the last one is from her day as a clerk and you can view a short video of her day at work after the pics.
