Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Mayu Matsuoka: Two recent events....

Mayu and her mates want to thank all of the viewers who have made her December 23rd post the most viewed one in the two month period since then and second place isn't even close. I'm glad to see Mayu has so many fans here now which has steadily risen as in the beginning her posts didn't attract all that many views so she's gained many fans in the past year or so.
Not a monumental post this time around as there's been zero mag spreads so far this year but Mayu has been someone who usually doesn't appear in many of them. Above is a video of Mayu promoting her stage play "Edo is burning" which is opening on March 3rd, it's her third play in the past year and don't know where she finds the time to do them.

No dramas scheduled so far for this year but Mayu was in three of them in 2017, but for 2018 she's going to appear in at least three movies. The one that looks really interesting is "The Shoplifting Family" which will be released in June, haven't heard any news about it yet.
Before that film the third installment of the "Chihayafuru" series will have it's premiere on March 17th. Not a fan at all of the lead actress which is why I've skipped the previous two films but Mayu has so many other dramas or films to watch I'll get over missing the "Chihayafuru" films. The movie had it's first screening on February 20th at the Tokyo Dome City Hall.

The Mayu film I really want to watch is "Katte ni Furuetero" but seeing as how it just came out on December 23rd it'll be a long time until it's available on DVD. On February 23rd there was a 'Thank You' event for the fans as the film has been quite successful and one cinema in Shibuya said it's been their highest grossing film of the year. The event was held at the Human Trust Cinema in Shibuya and as usual Mayu was dressed in a down to earth style which suits her to a T. Plenty of pics here from the special event followed by a video if it.
