Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nogizaka46: 2018 Magazine scans #15....

That sixth anniversary happened back in February which means we'll probably see a DVD of the shows sometime next Spring, can't understand why there's such a gap between concerts and when they come out on video. Past two years there was a ton of the 'a little of this and that' posts which comprised many things other than mag spreads.
There's been very few of them this year as to me it seems Nogi has appeared at many less events and haven't promoted as many products. However next Sunday, which is the 16th, the Autumn/Winter 'Girls Awards' fashion show will be taking place. By my count think there will be eleven Nogi members taking a stroll on the catwalk and about the same amount for Keya and Hiragana. So expect many, many posts next Sunday and Monday from the show.

No Mai today but will have another solo post for her very soon. It's hard to believe but her "Passport" photobook is still in the top ten for sales, last week it ranked ninth and has sold close to 294,000 copies. As far as sales go Nogi's 21st single "Jikochuu de Ikou!' has sold 1.12 million copies after four weeks, very impressive total but their previous single had sold 1.25 million copies after four weeks.

Iori was an Undergirl who I didn't know all that well though thought she was an attractive gal but like so many got lost in the shuffle. She graduated from the group on July 18th, she was the fourth Undergirl to leave the group in the past nine months. She starts off the spreads for today and this will be her final one which is from the July issue of EX-Taishu.

Kana is another Undergirl but she's switched back and forth between them and being a Senbatsu member so many times. It's rare for her to have a solo spread yet this us her second one this month with this set being from the October edition of BLT.

Nogi is a short Idol group but guess you could say that about most of them. Yumi is a member who appears to be tallish though her height is just 157 cm, she has this next set which is also from the October issue of BLT.

Always have liked Sayuri I. but have never done a solo post for her though I have promised to do one many times. She'll be turning 24 in December and I think this set from the September 21st edition of Young Gangan is the first time she's had a solo cover.

Yesterday ranted a bit about how the quality of Idols has really decreased the past few years. it is true but can't say that at all about Erika who to me is one of the most talented Idols of all time. If she was a bit older she would just may have made my 'top twenty of all time' list, she'll turn 22 in January. If there is a top ten list this year for my fave current Nogi member she has an excellent shot at being #1. Such a shame she's not an exclusive model for any mag which is what you need to be to appear at fashion shows such as the one taking place next weekend. This set here had been missed and Erika looks so oki doki as the cover girl for the June issue of BLT.

Final set is also from the same BLT issue and it features the alluring Miona who will be at next week's 'Girls Awards' show.

  1. Have you been watching any Nogi shows? I haven't kept up with them in months. Pretty much have stuck to mags over TV and music, same thing with K46

  2. Haven't watched any shows from Nogi or Keya in at least six months and have zero plans to. Both shows have become so boring, uninteresting and predictable, perhaps if there are more Bingo shows will give them a try. To me one of the biggest problems are the announcers and especially for the Keya show as both pairs try to put too much focus on them instead of the members.
Hosts aren't needed on shows, AKB has done some without them and Nogi has done a few specials with just the members. Both groups need a shakeup as save for a few members they've become so blah and more so these days for Keya. There will be a few posts next week for them from the 'Girls Awards' show and it'll be the first time in a while that any of us will be able to see a few of our fave members.

  3. Would have to agree there as that's why I haven't kept up with the shows. Used to keep watching it in case there would be a one hit wonder but once I stopped watching, the amount of unwatched eps started to add up then I couldn't be bothered to even look at them.
Looking forward to Girls Awards as the latest TGC was disappointing for me. I saw videos of Elaiza Ikeda at previous TGC shows looking pretty damn good but in this one I was thinking "Da hell is this?" maybe because it's the Autumn/Winter show because she looked good in the Spring/Summer shows before, or maybe it's because of the year because the TGC for Spring/Summer as I recall, it made your jammies more appealing than their costumes. Here's one of the videos I was talking about, Elaiza's TGC 2017 S/S Lip Service has me calling an ambulance:
