Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Kyoko Fukada: Few recent happenings....

Previous post mentioned how much I've gotten back into drama viewing the past year. However none of them have featured Kyoko who is one of the main reasons I originally became such a huge fan of Japanese dramas though admit they have gone downhill the last few years. Have seen seven of Kyoko's dramas that aired from 2001 to 2009 but only three since then, keep forgetting to watch her 2009 series "Kareinaru" but have been saying that for five years.
Have also viewed six of her films though no recent ones, think Kyoko is a decent actress no matter what others think but it seems the dramas and films she's been in lately haven't been too appealing. She has a new show beginning in exactly a week and have more info on that coming up.

Wow(!), is there a 36 year old woman in the world that is half as hot as Kyoko is?!?! I say no and it appears many others share that opinion as her posts have always been incredibly popular, she has five of the most ten viewed posts of all time.
On Christmas Eve, which this year happened on December 24th, Kyoko was at an event along with two cast members of her upcoming drama. The event took place at KITTE which is in the Marunouchi section of Tokyo. It was a bit of an X-Mas party where she also lit a tree but also the main point of the event was to promote the new drama and didn't she look so fabulous?!?!

Long title for the new drama which is "Hajimete Koi o Shite Hi ni Yomu Hanashi" which translates over to A Story To Read On The Day You've Fallen In Love. The series begins next Tuesday which is the 15th on TBS and will be airing at 10:00 pm. Kyoko naturally has the lead role in the drama and on the 8th there was another event for the drama at the Shibuya Space FS Shiodome, like so many current shows it's based upon a manga.

Kyoko has released eight(!) photobooks the past seven years, right around the time of their release is when she has some truly breathtaking mag spreads. The other ten months of the year she does appear in a huge amount of mags though all of the spreads are so conservative but she still looks like a trillion yen to me. Have three of them for today and do have two more but want to hold on to them as there's always such a gap in her posts and would like to do at least one more this month. First set has Kyoko on the cover and is from the January issue of Camera Man.

All of these sets are from January mags and the second Kyoko spread is from Baila however with only three pages of pics why'd they bother.... 😞

Final Kyoko spread for today is from the January edition of Bijin Hyakka. After the pics have a short video of that Christmas Eve event.
