Ruka Matsuda: Few recent happenings....
Been a lot of posts lately for some forgotten newbies, Ruka has actually been quite busy this year but she somehow went undetected by my radar. Introduced her last year and Ruka's first few intro posts were immensely popular but haven't had one for about seven months. But there should be at least one more post coming up in the next ten days and with any luck(and time) there will be two of them.
First saw Ruka is last year's 'Kakegurui" drama which was one of my top shows of 2018. There's a season two which she's also starring in, five episodes have aired but so far none have been subbed. That also happened in season one where the subs weren't done until the series was complete. There's also a movie coming out tomorrow and you'll see those pics in her next post. In the drama Ruka plays the character of Itsuki and her father is one of the richest men in Japan.
No mag spreads for today but that's okay as there's still plenty of fine looking pics, about sixty new ones in all. Ruka has been doing a lot of interviews for her two upcoming films, will tell you about the other one but these pics from Animetimes were for the 'Kakeguirui" film and drama.
It's only the beginning of May and Ruka has already been in three films. Besides the above one her next movie is coming out on May 10th and is titled "Toshimaen: Haunted Park", as you can tell by the title it's a horror flick. For her next post will have pics from it's premiere, today there was a mini screening for the film at the Ikubukuro Humax Cinemas in Tokyo. Sure many should recognize at least three others in the bottom two pics.
More new interview pics, and to me Ruka looks A++++ in them. They're from the Mantan Web site for her two new films and photobook(?).
Did say PB above and will explain more about that after this last set of new interview pics which are from 'Thetv.jp' site.
Last week Ruka released her first photobook which is why I was surprised there were no mag spreads. It did okay in it's first week out as it placed 8th on the charts selling about 2,200 copies. Pics for the book were taken in the Philippines and these are some promo ones from it.
Lastly there was an event held on April 27th for the PB at the Fukuya bookstore in Shinjuku. It's her first book and has the title of 'Ruka/Luka", perhaps a play on how an R and L are pronounced. After the pics check out a video of the event.
