Whew, big cast and there are more characters whose names will be added if their roles get bigger. As is my norm with 32 episode dramas will be recapping four shows at a time with two in each recap. Keep saying that rom-com's aren't my cup of tea yet seems I've been watching more in that genre lately than any other Korean drama. It's been a hit or miss with them but so far my hit rate is much higher than the failures. To date will count this one as a big hit as I really enjoyed the first four episodes but it is hard to keep things interesting for 32 shows, wish they would decrease the number to twenty for some series. There's quite a few videos on YT for this series such as ones with interviews, behind the scenes and trailers, will have a different one for every post. Today's is behind the scenes segment for the first cast reading with the major characters.

Lot took place in these two shows so not going to rehash what's taken place up until now, too much to say in just a few sentences. Where we left off was with Min-Ik and Veronica about to go on their second date but of course the woman isn't Veronica but his secretary Gal-Hee. Min-Ik has a condition which is called Prosopagnosia, it's one that makes faces blurry and unrecognizable so needless to say it's very rare. Gal-Hee knew she couldn't keep this charade up forever so tried to make the date a very short one and didn't want dinner or to visit anyplace.
So the pair just stood and chatted for about five minutes with Gal-Hee as Veronica listing all of her bad points and why they wouldn't make a stable couple. Min-Ik just nodded his head at those comments but you could see he's a bit hooked by her but naturally can't see her true face. Gal-Hee's assumption that she can't keep up the act for too long is quite correct, with the amount of time the pair spend together at work it's hard to believe Min-Ik hasn't recognized her voice. So Gal-Hee wished her date a goodnight but before she traveled fifty feet she checked her phone and noticed something on the internet, at that moment so didn't Min-Ik.
It was no minor thing either as what was posted on the internet will be the basis for this and the next three episodes. If you read the previous recap(s) you know that Min-Ik got into a skirmish at his office one night with his new driver Jung-Soo. That man had been sneaking around the office looking for a secret USB drive which he did find and stole. Shortly after that Min-Ik had returned to his office, finding a prowler there he naturally confronted the person and was about to pummel them severely. Just then Gal-Hee happened to come by and save the day for Jung-Soo who gave a lame excuse why he had been in the office.
There was a video shot of the skirmish to everyone's surprise as Min-Ik's office didn't have any security cameras. But someone had placed one there and uploaded the short video to a website, if it's not taken down quickly it could spell ruin for Min-Ik being the main director of TnT Media. It wasn't determined who put the camera there but Min-Ik somehow was able to discover the identity of the person that uploaded it to the internet. Gal-Hee couldn't let her boss handle the situation alone so went with him to the person's house which was kind of a wasted scene. The man didn't show up for a long time so Gal-Hee eventually left though shortly after that uploader did arrive at his house. He told Min-Ik he had no idea whose camera it was but had been paid to upload it to the internet, now that Min-Ik has asked him to delete it the man will and that scene seemed to be a bit stretched out with the main reason letting us see Min-Ik and Gal-Hee as Veronica get a bit closer.

That video uploader may actually be a security guard at Min-Ik's company, think I may have seen him briefly twice before and if I'm correct that person is working with Min-Ik's uncle Hae-Yong. It's now the following day where there was a mandatory meeting of the twelve main TnT Media directors with Min-Ik being the top person. A problem was going to be how could Min-Ik know who he was talking to in a meeting? That was solved with Gal-Hee's help as she suggested memorizing all of the employee's heights and hair style to determine who Min-Ik was looking at.
That idea paid off as with Min-Ik's incredible memory he was able to recognize every one in the meeting, it should now be a breeze for him. That meeting was anything but a piece of cake for him as a few of the other directors had a copy of the video that had been uploaded though now it's deleted. No doubt they were in on the the evil deed to frame Min-Ik, they wanted nothing more than to see his uncle Hae-Yung regain the top position and will do whatever it takes. That meeting soon became an uproar as a few of the directors demanded Min-Ik's resignation which he wouldn't do. He asked for a vote of the eleven others present, six votes would keep Min-Ik as the top director and on the path to being the company's president.
The voting went quickly around the table, Min-Ik figured he had the six votes but the voting was tied at five to keep Min-Ik, five to remove him from being a director. But there was one person who hadn't cast a vote who was Min-Ik's best friend for 27 years, Dae-Joo. Naturally Min-Ik thought his friend would cast his vote in favor of Min-Ik but to his dismay Da-Joo voted to remove Min-Ik as the top director. But though the vote was against him Min-Ik refused to resign, there's been a huge misunderstanding and he's not going down without a fight.
Of course Min-Ik was furious at his best friend voting for his resignation but Dae-Joo explained why. The company's huge shareholder's meeting will be taking place in two weeks. While the board doesn't have the official authority to oust Min-Ik the shareholders can do that but also they can vote to keep Min-Ik in his current position. That's the reason Dae-Joo gave for voting against his friend as it'll be an easier fight in the shareholder's meeting and Min-Ik saw the logic in his reasoning. Forgot to mention in the last recap that Dae-Joo had himself tried resigning from the company. Min-Ik didn't take it too seriously and wouldn't accept it, it does get brought here and there during these two recaps but so far nothing much has come of it.

At this point which is at the end of the ninth episode there was a brief flashback scene from three years ago. At a different board meeting it had been discovered that Min-Ik had been taking a medicine called Gloripen, he had but only for a few days to control his tension. The board was very unpleased with the discovery but what was more important to us viewers was who revealed the secret. It had been Min-Ik's secretary and since then he's had such a distrust of them which is why none have been hired permanently. That is of course until Gal-Hee became his personal secretary, she does have a new contract but it's only until Min-Ik's vision is cured. Hope all remember that Gal-Hee is the only person who Min-Ik can see clearly and depends on her so much because of that.
In the previous recap we had witnessed Gal-Hee's younger sister leaving Korea to attend school in America. But that was a ruse as towards the end of the eighth episode we saw her living in a rundown apartment in Seoul, it's still a mystery why she lied to Gal-Hee and her brother about going to school. Perhaps she didn't get accepted but if not why not go to school in Korea? But we did see the sister briefly in the tenth episode which is where we are now. Her name is Nam-Hee and of all of the places we saw her was in an audition for a movie, was her goal to become an actress?
Though what was memorable about the scene was that she was auditioning in front of Veronica who dismissed her acting abilities. The pair had a heated argument and during it Nam-Hee proved she has the potential to be a solid actress. However that was the only scene for her in the two shows but would think we'll see that pair together again and Veronica had no idea it was Gal-Hee's sister. Meanwhile the very suspicious driver Jung-Soo failed in his quest to get the secret USB drive. He did steal one from Min-Ik's office but the one he took didn't contain secret information so does one
really exist?
Jung-Soo didn't think so but then overheard Gal-Hee telling Min-Ik that she found a USB drive in his suit pocket. She's had the suit since his attack in episode two, she was supposed to get it cleaned but here we are eight shows later and it hasn't happened yet. So now Jung-Soo has another mission, that's to enter Gal-Hee's house when she's away to steal the flash drive but that doesn't take place until the next recap. But there's only two weeks to go until the shareholder's meeting so Min-Ik is hell bent on giving a masterful presentation, he rents out a hotel suite until then to work on it.

In tow Min-Ik brought his trusted secretary Gal-Hee to work on the presentation. It was her first time ever in such a ritzy hotel room and would have done anything to live her life in a place like that. Living so classy like that is old hat to Min-Ik as his home is just as elegant so he offered Gal-Hee free use of the room for the next two weeks. Gal-Hee did try hard to refuse the offer but Min-Ik wouldn't hear of it, deep down know Gal-Hee was pleased her boss made her stay there. The pair worked early morning to late night on the presentation Min-Ik would give to the shareholders, what he has planned won't be known until the meeting.
Above we once again see the pair of Dae-Joo and Veronica, she's been trying so hard to make him her man with no success and up until now every man had swooned at her feet. Veronica still won't look over his proposal to operate her Cinepark company which runs the most successful line of theaters in Korea. They also make dramas and films, Veronica is second to none at creating huge smashes. Until Dae-Joo becomes her 'man' Veronica won't look over the proposal but there's a more pressing matter for the pair.
Dae-Joo had discovered that Veronica is one of the biggest shareholders in TnT Media as she owns over 100,000 shares. It's now just a few days before the meeting and he asked her not to attend it as she might create a spectacle plus it appears she may have ties to the evil uncle Hae-Yung. We're now right at the end of the tenth episode and it's time for the stockholder's meeting. It was a packed house and who should be there but Gal-Hee, she's eligible to vote as she owns all of ten shares.
But also at the meeting was Veronica who came even though she was begged not to. She had been sitting a few rows in back of Gal-Hee who jumped up early in the meeting once the dismissal of
Min-Ik was brought up. Gal-Hee had asked for Min-Ik to say a few words in his defense, who should second that motion was none other than Veronica who rushed up to sit next to her one time secretary. That action brings this recap to a close as 90% of what took place at the meeting is in episode eleven.

Not much more to add in as if you've read the previous recaps you know how much I'm enjoying this series. What's surprised me is how serious it's become and just as much has been happening as does in a thriller/action drama. As is my norm leave you with many screenshots to follow the story better and below this is the recap for the next two shows.
