Nao Kanzaki: 'Top Twenty Faves' countdown for 2019.... #15, Park Min-Young

To me the most disappointing thing about this year's list is the lack of Korean actresses as just two made the cut. Back in 2017 made them eligible for the yearly fave's list for the first time and five made it, had there been a list last year four may have been on the list. So many of my fave actresses seem to have gone AWOL and I don't mean a few but a good dozen or so. Really wonder what they do as for that dozen it's been over six months since they've appeared in a drama, film or at an event.   Quite odd that so many of my bigger faves have disappeared at the same time, some of them have gone over a year with doing close to zero. I think my top group of faves are Korean actresses as they are so much more attractive and interesting plus most are five or so years older than Idols so you can see why I'm a tad disappointed with the lack of them on the list.
Being inactive will never be a problem with Min-Young though do admit this year hasn't been among her busiest. Being a long time fave of mine helped a bit on making the list but it'd be hard for me not to include Min-Young on any list, she'll never be my all time #1 but isn't that far away. She would be number one on a list of most underrated beauties in the world, how many women can top her scorching looks? Not many but Min-Young hasn't let success get to her head as she's still a down to earth gal and a fine actress.

This is Min-Young's eighth post of the year but it doesn't seem like it's been that many. She did have four of them by the end of March so only four in the next eight months including this one. Should be a few more posts coming up as Min-Young has a drama starting up in early 2020 titled "If The Weather Is Good I'll Find You", no start date has been announced. She is an excellent actress but is getting to be known as a 'Rom-com Queen' and this series looks like another in that vein, give me "City Hunter" or "Healer" over them any day of the week. Not too many recent activities for Mrs. Underrated so let's go back in time for these ultra alluring pics for SOLB lingerie, whew!!!!!!!

Min-Young had been a model for them from 2010 to 2012, what a shame she stopped after only two years for them. But what modeling she's best known for is Compagna and how many thousands of pics does she have for that company? Too many to count, these are from their Fall/Winter collection.

Min-Young's first drama was in 2006 which means she's been active for thirteen years, when someone has been around that long it's understandable for them to want to take it easy for a while. She's also the oldest fave to make the top twenty as she'll be turning 34 on March 4th but like fine wine is getting better with age. Missed this superb spread in Min-Young's last post which was in September and it's from the July issue of Marie Claire.

Min-Young often dazzles us with the way she looks at events though not so much with this one. On November 8th she was at a press conference for the second season of "Busted", she was also in the first season. Don't know why I haven't viewed it as it did look a bit interesting and can only think that my backlog of dramas may have been too huge. Season two also started on the same day as the event.

Have some truly super duper event pics to end things off with, though not many recent activities there were 55 new pics. On November 24th Min-Young made another trip outside of Korea as she went to Singapore, she's also quite popular in China and Taiwan. The occasion was this year's StarHub 'Night of Stars' awards show, as you can see she did win a trophy which was the 'Best Asian Female Star' award for her role in the "Her Private Life" series which aired earlier this year. Plenty of terrific pics here from the ceremony but not going to post any of the videos from either event as none of them were that thrilling. But a thrilling video is her most viewed event on YT which was from the November 2017 'Asia Artist Awards' show, no superlatives are needed but WOWOWOWOW!!!!

  2. You're so correct with that comment, have never checked but wonder if you can post s permanent video on the right hand side? If so that would definitely need to be there and after viewing it too many times to count can never get tired of it.
Was talking about how so many of my fave Korean actresses have disappeared this year. Number one on that list would be Yeon-Hee who hasn't appeared in a drama since 2017, also hasn't been at an event since March so how does one survive not working for over two years? However she will be in a series beginning in January called "The Game: Towards Zero" and she'll be playing the main detective on the show.

    1. Yeon Hee has been like this her whole career, sadly. She was my #1 for a year or so back in the early 2010s, but she'll have a busy year or two and then disappear for a year or two.

Korean actors and actresses make more money from dramas and I have an inkling they make more from CFs/CMs as well. She's probably comfortable with how much money she has, so that may be a reason she doesn't work a lot.

  3. You're probably right about with the amount of $$ they make and it seems like so many of my fave actresses are in the same boat as they too have gone eons with little or no activity. But on the bright side and you may be reading this after the fact but am able to do a post for Yeon-Hee tonight which will be her first one since March.
