Nogizaka46: The opulent 'Mai Shiraishi post' #49....

This will be a somewhat big post though not as massive as most of her previous ones. That's because you could consider this to be part one of two posts for this week. Mai has a film coming out in February but there's been no interviews, events or the like for it yet. But on Wednesday there's going to be the first event for it so am hoping there will be many pics from it. Am also holding back one mag spread and a few other pics for another superb post which should happen on Friday.
Haven't discussed Mai's graduation too much and may never will. Can't say I'm sad about her leaving, well of course I am but it was to be expected and had thought her departure was going to take place last year. So the way I look at it is that we've had about seven bonus months with her and being an Idol for over eight years can't blame her for wanting to move on with other things. Mai will be missed sorely as she will always be the 'Face of Nogi'. she's definitely the member most responsible for their success. But in the last year or so she hasn't done as many Nogi activities, she was at an event in December which was her first one in many months.

Have admitted on many occasions that I take Mai for granted as she's always been there for Nogi and her pics are just so breathtaking at times. What I'm worried about a bit is that we won't see as much of her after she graduates. Mai doesn't have many outside activities such as having a regular TV show or a drama lined up such as Nanase did when she graduated, seems she's been busier than ever since her departure last February.
Not sure of the exact date of Mai's graduation, she'll be there for Nogi's next single which is coming out on March 25th and she better be the center for the song. But don't know if any special graduation concerts have been scheduled, sure they could sell out the Tokyo Dome ten times with her farewell shows. But I bet most of you are like me and if there's one graduation present she could give us it's a new photobook.
"Passport" came out three years ago and while it's such a fine collection of pics sure most fans have grown tired of it. It's still selling well as it made another appearance on the Oricon charts last week landing in the fifth position, the chart from the site is below. "Passport" is the best selling PB of all time but think Mai will be losing that honor in about a month. The book has sold 347,000 copies to date but you'll notice the PB currently #1 is only 58,000 copies behind and is still selling well. Wouldn't a new PB be such a high note to go out on? It certainly would but have heard zero rumors about that happening and perhaps she doesn't want to do another alluring photo shoot.

Haven't been posting many cards recently but do have many from the past four months which are all new for here.

Was mentioning about having a post this Friday which I'm really hoping will contain some event pics for her "Stolen Identity 2" film that will be released on February 21st, would think an acting career is where she may be headed. Also am sure Mai will continue to do much modeling work though the days of her doing gravure spreads may be a thing of the past. These are recent pics from the Voce site though for now she's not a model for the mag.

And a few from the With Online site for the Nogi OL campaign.

Sure Mai will still be appearing in many mags but there should be a slight slowdown with them as it does happen to almost all ex-Idols. Have a trio of them for today and she's still quite popular as she's the cover girl for all of the mags, this first set is from the February issue of ar.

Smaller set from the February issue of Steady, for the most part her mag spreads these days are so much more conservative than they were two or more years ago but she still looks so perfect.

Final spread for today is also for the second month of the year and is from More. No recent videos but after the pics have Mai's most viewed CM which is for Mouse computers, it came out in September 2017 and has close to 2.5 million views but could also be considered a mini movie.
