Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Yui Imaizumi: Few recent happenings....

Bit of a slow stretch to begin the year off as far as posts go but did warn you viewers that the first ten or so days of a year is usually a period when not as much happens. Have no clue how many posts will be done this year but wouldn't doubt if it'll be less than 2019. Will always post about my bigger faves but can see the posts for Nogi dwindling as I expect there will be more than the two impending graduations, then again who knows and perhaps 2020 will have more posts than ever.
Yui snuck on to last year's top twenty faves list which may have shocked a few viewers. She shouldn't have as Yui has become such a huge fave of mine, she finished 17th on the list and she has a good shot at making the top ten for this year. This is already her second post to qualify and can see her having so many more posts this year which definitely helps your position. Have noticed these days that you seldom read about Yui being an ex-Keya member as she's forged her own identity and is actually more popular since she left them.

As I've said before she really packs so much onto such a tiny frame. Think some of these pics may have been posted before which were from an October event for the "Eren the Southpaw" drama.

Bring that series up as I just started watching the drama today. Thought I'd give one episode a shot to see if it was worth continuing and really did enjoy that first show so am planning on watching all eight episodes. The series revolves around a young man named Koichi who works as a designer at an advertising firm. In that first show he got screwed over bad as he had made a major design for a company which got shot down by his boss.
In that same office works Yui as Yurina and was surprised her role was much bigger than I thought. There's a few other faves of mine in the drama which is another reason I checked it out. It's up in the air if there will be recaps for the entire series but we'll see what happens as I do need to get back to having more posts for dramas.

Few recent pics from Yui's Instagram page and her pics are usually so superb.

AVEX is mainly known for being a record company but they also represent many actresses, of course Yui is one or wouldn't have brought it up. Each January they have their own kind of 'coming of age' ceremony though most of the actresses are already over twenty. It took place on January 9th at the Harajuku Togo Shrine and you'll notice in a few pics whose standing to her left.

Many 'bonus pics' for the upcoming spread....

.... which is from the January 23rd issue of Big Comic Spirits. Yui is their cover girl and has had that honor about four other times for the mag and this set of pics definitely rates an A+. Following them is a terrific video of the photo shoot.
