Had wanted to wait until the middle of the month for this post but very little has been going on the past few days. Then again have close to fifty new pics for today so there really was no sense waiting two weeks to do this. Titled this post 'number one?' as I am holding back a ten page mag spread so looks like there will be a mid month post though it'll be her second for February. May also have a Keya group post coming up this week which I didn't think was possible. Do have a pair of new mag spreads but that's really all, the members are still appearing in a fair amount of mags but haven't been doing many other activities though many will be at the February 29th TGC show.
Now that the permanent center has finally quit think most fans feel that Yui will be the center for the group's next single and she does deserve that honor. However it shouldn't have taken someone quitting for her to be the center for a single as she could have been one many songs ago. One problem I may have is that the Keya's next single will probably see a decrease in sales and hope no one points their finger at Yui as it wouldn't be her or any other member that would be to blame.
It's been about a year since Keya's last single and because of Nogi having one next month it may not be until late April when single #9 is finally released. Fourteen or more months between singles is unheard of for a major J-Pop group and let's face it, that long gap has cost them many fans. It could also be why there's been five members who have left since July as it's really affecting their careers which aren't long ones, will continue those thoughts a bit more in the next group post.
But the gap between singles hasn't affected Yui at all as she's been Keya's busiest member for at least a year. She appears in so many mags, is always at group events and has really become such a popular woman in Japan and it's not just because she's an Idol. Not a huge variety of things but do have close to fifty new pics for today. All that activity means Yui doesn't have much time to do posts on Keya's Diary blog, just these from the past month or so.
Those bottom two pics are from the set of the "Wasteful Days of High School Girls" drama. This coming Friday Yui will be making a guest appearance on the show playing a transfer student named Lily, think it's just a one time appearance but there is a chance she may stay on for a few shows. Unlike Nogi Keya doesn't have a 'coming of age' ceremony for their members and probably because Keya is such a smaller group. A thought just popped in my mind is why don't they have a special '46' day for the three groups that have members who turned twenty or are about to? The '48' groups do that and seems like it'd make for a nice event. But do have a few 'coming if age' cards here plus a few from the UniAir site for New Years.
Will try to hunt down that drama and if successful will have some pics in her next post. Also will have some behind the scenes pics from the photo shoot of Yui's first photobook that came out last March. You hardly hear anyone talk about it but to me it may have been the #1 PB for 2019, she shocked me with how utterly seductive and hot she is.
Have done many 'pairs posts' but what a sextet post it would be with these gals....
Valentine's Day is less than two weeks away, Yui stopped by with a special gift(s) but didn't have the heart to tell her she was a tad too early, perhaps she has one a day planned until the 14th?
Yui has been an exclusive model for the With Online site for about a year now. She always had many pics at the site but these days there's more than ever, she's part of their OL campaign and does look a few years older in the pics. The mag spread I'm holding back is from With which you'll be able to view in her next post in about two weeks.
Last year's #1 on the top twenty faves list set a record for being my oldest number one and she was 33 in age. Yui has to be considered one of the front runners for this year's top spot and if she does claim it another record would be set as at 21 in age she'd be the youngest ever. Final set of pics for today is this terrific spread from the January issue of BLT. You'll never find a '46' member doing a gravure video and that's perfectly fine with me. So after the pics do have a fabulous one from Yui which I had never seen that came out last July for the With magazine.
