Ko Sung-Hee: Her revival post #1....
Bit of a mini post and you could say the same for all of the four for today. Actually noticed making posts a bit smaller means there can be more done for a day and I really need to start cutting down on the size of posts. Titled this #1 as I know there will be another post for 2019 activities in the next week and would love it if there was two more coming up. This is Sung-Hee's first post since November 2018, she had nine in a thirteen month stretch.
She's one of my few faves who I fell head over heels for at the first sight of her, to me she is just such an attractive and alluring woman. And a huge fave too as she did make the top twenty faves list back in 2017, perhaps Sung-Hee can re-enter the list this year. Bet she has a good chance as besides the drama I'll be talking about she has the lead role in another coming out in May. For that next post besides Sung-Hee's 2019 happenings will also have a few tidbits from prior years which I was going to get to but never did.
Mini post as there will be just three happenings for today but least all have occurred in the past month. Pair of them are event pics, Sung-Hee in the past has sent me running for a cold shower with event pics but the ones for today are a bit conservative and perhaps it's because it's Winter. This set is from the VIP premiere of the "Namsan's Manager's" film that took place on January 20th.
Sung-Hee's latest drama was named "My Holo Love" that aired on Netflix. It began on February 7th yet the twelve episode series was available two days later so think the entire drama was aired in two days. In many of her older pics you'll notice Sung-Hee with slightly reddish locks but it appears she's now gone back to her original color, she looks tremendous either way but I may have preferred the reddish tint. Three days before the drama began there was a press conference for it at the Dongdaemun Marriott Hotel in Seoul.
Prosopagnosia is a condition where you can't recognize faces or see them clearly at all. That was the main theme for "The Secret Life of My Secretary" drama which may have been my #1 series for 2019. In "My Holo Love" Sung-Hee's character of So-Yeon also suffers from the same condition and it's led her to be disliked by so many people who think she's so arrogant. Se-Yeon isn't but without being able to recognize faces it's easier to just ignore people.
Se-Yeon has just turned thirty in the drama and though her life as a marketing assistant director is going well her vision problem is affecting her overall life more than ever. Her co-workers save for her manager can't stand Se-Yeon who leads a rather lonely life. That is until one night when a director from a IT company secretly slipped a pair of special glasses into her handbag, when Se-Yeon arrived home she wondered where they came from and tried them on.
To her amazement there was an AI male figure in front of her, he can only be seen wearing the special glasses. It's name is Holo and what an amazing creation he is as his powers seem endless. Of course it took a while for Se-Yeon to believe his story but once she did Holo has become part of her life and is helping Se-Yeon overcome her vision problems. That's just from the first show, it will end up being a romance story but much more than that.
There is a rival company who want those glasses and even tried to murder the female director who slipped Se-Yeon the glasses. That first episode was a real winner and had gone in thinking it wasn't going to be much of a show and glad I was mistaken. Will be recapping the series but undecided how it'll be done as of now, to do all twelve shows or just a few plus whether to have the posts here or at my drama blog. Here's a few screenshots from the first show and will be watching a few more before I decide how the recapping will be done though it's not like there's many K-drama fans here who are holding their breath. After the pics have a promo video for the show that's subbed in English.
