The series airs on Tuesday nights but already four shows have aired so it must be more than one episode a week. Will have a mini recap for each show which has a running time of close to 25 minutes, subs for the series are being done by Beam Subs. Am now caught up with the recaps as it appeared these first four were aired in a week, not sure when the fifth show will air.Every show will have a different story which often will be a mysterious one, let's get on with the brief recap.

 Episode title: Democratic Diner

Bit of a disappointing show, theme seemed quite interesting but all in all thought it was a bit of a snoozer. Like the previous show Mizuki used her own name for her character who works as a waitress at the Democratic(Democracy) diner. It's an odd place for when a customer orders a meal the other diners plus the staff have to vote on whether that person can have that meal. For the most part the orders are accepted but rarely in this show.
That's because the diner's cook Michie made a mistake in ordering food as sixty crates of eggplant had been delivered, now every dish will have to include eggplant. We never did learn the customer's names though there weren't too many, first person to order wanted a meat dish which was quickly shot down by the staff as it'll be eggplant or nothing for the next few days to get rid of it.
Mizuki's character has had a bit of a tough life as she first came from Tokyo but grew up in an orphanage and it seemed it was near Osaka as she talks with a very gruff accent. For a time she also tried her hand at pro wrestling and I would have liked to have seen that. Though Mizuki was the star Nogi member in this episode her role wasn't much bigger than anyone else, actually thought the diner's owner and a pair of customers outshone her.

As you can see above there was a criminal who escaped from the police and of all places to hide out he picked the diner. When he arrived there Mizuki had been out delivering an order food, probably eggplant. When she returned to the diner she was shocked as the wanted criminal happened to be an old friend from her orphanage named Tecchan.
Mizuki had a hard time adjusting when her parents died but Tecchan had been there to help her out immensely. Life for Tecchan hadn't been going well as the jobs he had tried all failed and many employers took advantage of him. So he turned to a life of crime but when he met Mizuki after not seeing her for so many years he reverted back to his old self which was a fairly decent guy.
The other customers, the diner's staff and Mizuki eventually talked Tecchan into turning himself in to the police. But there's one thing he wanted to do before that happened which was to enjoy a nice meal, his request was for their famous bulging meaty set meal. But the order still had to be voted on, the owner definitely didn't want to prepare it as his main objective was to get rid of the enormous amount of eggplant. But with Tecchan holding a gun on everyone in the diner they eventually voted yes to his request to the dismay of the owner.

And that really brought us to the end of the show. After Tecchan finished his huge meal he was escorted to the police and everyone told him to return to the diner once he was free. Really not much took place in this episode, you can usually tell when that happens as I don't take nearly as many screenshots which was the case for this show.

Mizuki was okay but to me she's just a so-so actress, she was also passable in the 'Video Girl Mai' drama though there are many better actresses in Nogi. Watched that series up until the fifth episode and aborted it, the show wasn't bad at all but then again just couldn't get into it as it wasn't nearly as good as season one. Hopefully the next show will be subbed soon as it stars Hinako and have a feeling it could be the best episode to date.
