Rena Takeda: Bit of an overdue post....
Truly thought this would be the first day without a post due to the massive slowdown in Japan for activities. The slowdown has certainly become worse than I imagined and had given up hope that there would be a post for today, keep your fingers crossed there will be some this weekend. But didn't give up and here's someone we haven't heard from in a very long time, she's one of the top five most popular gals here according to you viewers.
First regular post for Rena since January 12th, that could be the longest gap she's ever had between posts as she's had seventy in the last three years or about two a month. Though Rena has been a bit more quiet than usual she's hasn't been in hibernation and perhaps this post could have been done a few weeks ago but on occasion a bigger fave slips my mind which had been the case. But do have a feeling it won't be long until her next post, last year Rena finished 18th on my faves list and would like to see her make the list again this year.
Rena will be the cover girl for the next issue of BLT Graph which comes out on Monday. However her new spreads are supposedly going to be non-gravure ones as she did 'retire' from doing those kinds of pics towards the end of last year. Personally think that won't be the case as even though her acting career is going well her gravure spreads and pictorials are what made Rena so popular. Besides that upcoming spread she's also going to be appearing in the....
.... "Isekai Izakaya 'Nobu'" drama that begins on May 15th. Just did some checking and it's a drama that will be airing as most of the filming has been completed, above are some pics from the show. Looks like such an interesting series that's set at a bar hidden away in a backstreet of Tokyo. It's based on a very popular manga and these are dramas I really get into as this is supposed to be so quirky and fun with such odd characters, know I'll be checking it out.
Rena was also in a film that was released on March 7th titled "Dancing Mita". It's her first time having a lead role in a regular, non-horror film but unfortunately there was no official premiere due to the health crisis. However there was a special screening that took place on February 12th.
To promote the film Rena did an interview with the Hustle Press site.
Wish there were more pics of this duo, they're both models for Non-no but surprisingly have no pics together at their site and they also share the same birthday which is July 27th.
In that last Rena post somehow forgot to include this spread that's from WPB #1. It was promoting her 'The Last' WPB-Net pictorial which is supposed to be her final gravure collection, like so many of you viewers hope that's not the case....
Final set of Rena pics is a recent spread from the March 27th issue of Friday. Following them is a newish Rena CM for 'Boat is Heart', second one she's done for them.
