Miona's had the last three regular Nogi solo posts but this could be her last for a while though I truly hope not. What I'm also hoping is that this won't be the final solo post for a while featuring a fave member but have a slight inkling it may. May as well begin off with the news of Miona's second photobook "Itsuka no machi awase basho" that was released on May 27th, it was a case of good and bad news. Many fans seemed to think the PB would sell 80,000+ copies in it's first week out but to me that seemed a little high. Her first photobook sold 29,500 in it's first week out so was expecting sales to double to about 58,000.
We were all wrong on that as the sales for week one were just 46,329 copies sold which was slightly disappointing. But if you compare it to her first PB then first week sales increased by over 50%. Of course the health situation in Japan played a part in the lower than expected sales so perhaps this book will have some legs and sell consistently over the next few months. But also the promoting of the book was a bit subpar as there weren't many pics that came out for it until two weeks before it's release. Management also blew it a bit as they pushed back the release date a few times, at first think the PB was supposed to come out last November.
Oh well, 46,000+ copies sold really isn't all that low of a figure to me as that is the highest total for a book in it's first week since mid-March. Miona is a popular member but not quite at the level as a few others, to me the PB sales aren't a bust as too many overestimated the sales and do think eventually the total sales will double to about 92,000 copies, her first PB sold a little over 71,000.
This is Miona's third post in less than a month and with the semi lockdown still in effect it means there won't be a huge amount of new pics but do have some superb ones for all fans. Have read that some things are now being allowed in Japan such as movie theaters being somewhat open but it'll be a while until we see Nogi perform a concert or attend some sort of event, wonder when their variety shows will begin filming again? Speaking of shows will eventually get around to doing some posts with Miona from her February trip to New Caledonia with her best Nogi mate, bit of a lame show but it's entertaining to some extent. Let's start things off with some older 'NogiKoi' app game cards which should all be new for here.
All of the bigger fashion shows have been cancelled or postponed the last three months, that's a shame as so many of my faves attend them. Nogi and Keya always have ten or more members at them and bring that up because of course Miona usually takes a stroll on the catwalk. So let's go back in time to May 19, 2018 for the Spring/Summer 'Girls Award' show that took place at the Makuhari Messe Hall in Chiba.
Miona has been an exclusive model for the ar magazine since December 2016 but it's been a while since she's had pics at their site but do have a mini spread from their June/July issue.
Miona was also a co-host of the Wednesday night 'Recon' radio show, she did that gig for three years but on March 25th 'retired' from the show. Her last few posts have had some promo pics for the photobook and have some more for today. The top four have never been posted before and are the best pics from the book, they should have released those sooner.
Will end off with a pair of new mag spreads, this one is from the June 9th edition of Flash which features outtake pics from the PB but we've already seen some in earlier spreads.
Don't know the exact number but it seems Miona has been the cover girl for UTB at least five times, she has that honor again with this huge set from their July issue. No recent Nogi videos so after the pics have Miona's most viewed CM which is for 'Cup Star' soup that came out last August.
