Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nogizaka46: The enthralling and cinematic "Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!" movie post

For the huge amount of Nogi post there's been so few that have had a 'theme' to them, really the only one I can recall is a Halloween post and may try to do one this year. Then again Nogi hasn't done an activity like this in the past and perhaps if this film is a success we'll see more dramas and films with members but hopefully the older ones. Don't know if anyone has noticed but there's been a huge slowdown on group posts as this may be the first one of the month though it just features the above trio. Least there's been a fair amount of solo posts but knew this day was coming as way too many mag spreads and such are featuring fourth generation members who I'll never include in a post. But on the bright side I enjoy doing solo posts much more and there should be quite a few in October.

Back in April began viewing the drama version of 'Eizouken', started out a tad slow but it really picked up steam and it was turning into a enjoyable show. However the team that was subbing the drama stopped after the third episode and I was one disappointed person but bet many others were too. But heard some fantastic news today that a new team has finally picked up the project and have done five of the six episodes.
So grabbed them all as I'll need to watch the first three again to refresh my memory as it's been five months. Once the final show is subbed will do a marathon viewing of it and recap the entire series. Not all as I'll repost the first two recaps and then add in the next four episodes. I'm really looking forward to finishing the drama and perhaps in 7-10 days will have the entire series recapped.

At over a hundred pics this is a massive post which actually could have been larger. Maybe there will be a part two and that'll happen if there's another event, more mag spreads, interview pics or whatever and today's post features all of those. There has been much more promoting of this film than I thought there would be and think management is really hoping to have a hit on their hands, don't know if any other major films are opening this weekend. So have a little bit of everything and here's the trio on Wednesday's 'Recon' radio show doing some pumping up of the movie.

Noticed that Mizuki didn't do any solo interviews though many with her mates. However she does have many recent pics of other things so will have another post for her very soon. A person these days who never has a solo post is Asuka which is a shame as I like her much better as she's gotten older, she turned 22 at the beginning of August. She's done a few solo interviews and have pics from a pair of them today with this first batch being from the Oricon site.

Another batch of them which are from Modelpress though she is dressed the same as the above pics but these do look slightly different.

Minami has also done some solo interviews and will have them in her next post. Her first photobook comes out in four days so perhaps there will be an event for it, she's had about five posts in two months and if you're a fan expect 2-3 more in the upcoming weeks. The movie was originally scheduled to come out on May 15th but for obvious reasons it had to be delayed which happened to many other films. Back then was planning on having a post like this one but naturally couldn't but did retain some of the mag spreads that were to be included. These older sets have never been in any Nogi group or solo post, perhaps they're a bit dated but sure some fans will savor them. This set I find quite funny as the trio were on the cover for the May 19th SPA! yet only had a two page spread?!

Least this set from the May 25th Big Comic Spirits was much larger.

Oooops, almost forgot another spread from the mag which was from their April 6th edition.

The trio just can't get enough of the Big Comic Spirits mag as there was yet another cover for them for their September 24th issue.

You will notice the difference in the slightly older mags and the new pics as back in July Mizuki cut her hair a bit shorter and I think it looks fabulous. Last spread is from the September 29th issue of Flash, there are more sets though solo ones which I'll include in their posts.

Nogi's previous group film "Asahinagu" came out almost three years ago to the day, September 22, 2017. That film did quite well at the box office as I recall it being in the top ten for at least four weeks. This movie may too well in that case too as far as being in the top ten but the ticket sales may be much lower. Just checked and it appears theaters in Japan are now allowed to operate at full capacity though that doesn't mean movie fans would want to go to a packed cinema. But then again after being cooped up for so long perhaps people will be overjoyed to do a normal activity..

Have 46 pics from the film's premiere and easily could have had more, will in member posts and the next one should be for Minami within the week. The movie was officially released nationwide today but the premiere was held yesterday at the TOHO Cinemas in Roppongi Hills. At the event there was even a mention of there being a sequel if the film is a hit so let's hope it is. The event was streamed life to 157 cinemas where over 10,000 fans attended so that's a solid beginning. Naturally there's no event of a Nogi event, hate how that happens and why is it so???? But there was a new and longer trailer for the movie that came out last week which you can view after the pics.
