Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Ayaka Miyoshi: Few more recent happenings....

Have 46 new pics for this post and was wondering if that was enough? Of course that's enough for a decent post and am keeping my personal vow to make most posts a bit smaller. One huge advantage is that I can do so many more and you may have noticed as there's been nineteen posts in only seven days but going to be hard to keep that pace up. One other promise which you know about was to cut down on the amount of Idol posts which has been working out so well.

It's been eight days since there was one and only twelve in the post month when there usually would have been at least 25, that pace I can keep up. But you viewers may share my thoughts as I've grown so weary of J-Pop Idols but this past month or more without as many of those posts has been the busiest stretch of all time here. Every post these days gets many more views than they once did and that includes drama recaps. On August 28th set a new record for quickest million views as it took only 125 days to go from twelve to thirteen million views. New Year's Eve will mark 125 days from August 28th, if the 14 million mark is hit before then it's be another record and really want to thank you all for visiting so often. At the current rate that figure should be hit around December 20th but that tends to be the slowest month of the year for views.

Around that date is when I'll be finishing off this year's faves list and sadly someone will be missing. That's Ayaka who didn't have a post until September but this is her fourth one in two months. She finished between 11th and 15th three times and not many others can say they've made the list so often. The reason Ayaka never made the top five is because of how she disappears for such long stretches. They'll be a pair of periods each year that last for two months where she's busier than any actress or model. But the other eight months we seldom hear a peep from Ayaka which was the case this year from March until August. There were a few random mag spreads but that was it and her Houdini act has sadly been her MO for at least four years.

Ayaka though will still be in my top ten of all time for hottest woman, hard to top her and one big wish for 2021 is that'd I'd like to see is her second photobook. Many of today's pics are about a film she has the lead role in which came out today, it's her third leading since last August. You'll notice in these pics that Ayaka has changed her hair style quite a bit and while it's okay much prefer the way she used to look. But then again it's hard to notice her hair style at times for obvious reasons(!) and here's an example with these new modeling pics for Coach handbags.

Ayaka used to do so much modeling but has really slowed down on that activity the past year or so, think she's been concentrating more on her acting career. It's working as she's had the lead role in three films, one semi set of modeling pics which came out in June for Chance contact lenses.

She does wear contacts in real life and perhaps we should too if it'll help us see her better! Just one mag spread for today but did have close to ten of them in Ayaka's three previous posts, this mini set is from the October issue of Voce.

"Junihitoe wo Kita Akuma" is the title of Ayaka's latest film which came out today. Surprised there weren't more interviews done for it but these are from one with the Hustle Press site.

These event pics are a prime example of what I was discussing earlier about her hair. Today the film had it's premiere at the Piccadilly Circus in Shinjuku, the film is one set back many centuries ago and Japan must have more movies in that vein than the rest of the world combined. Of course Ayaka looked terrific but I still like her old hair style so much more. There are a few videos of the premiere but will skip them as none were all that thrilling. The Ayaka film I do want to view is "Howling Village" which came out in February and was quite a big hit. Think it just came out on DVD but no subbed version is available yet, have the film's trailer after the pics.
