Mina Oba: Has the honor of having the top 'Blast from the past' post to date....

 

 This past month have had five of these 'blast from the past' posts and perhaps even a few more than that. Nothing pleases me more than doing posts for some of my long time huge faves, the five or more were so quiet for such a long stretch and it's kind of funny how they've all become a bit busy at the same time. Long time viewers know how massive of a fave Mina is to me and this is her first solo post since July 2019. Up until then she had 25 posts with twenty being solo ones or about five a year but she and her SKE mates have really disappeared this year and I enjoy their music best of all as far as current

J-Pop groups go.

 

 This is the first post featuring an Idol in eleven days but to me this is kind of a 'semi Idol' post. I don't really consider most of the members in SKE to be Idols or at least compared to other groups. Their members are much older than other groups and they've been together for so long, to compare them to Idols who are a decade younger than them just doesn't seen right. There's eleven SKE members who are 25+ in age and a lot more in the 22-24 range so you can see why I hate lumping them into a category with gals so much younger. The group has been so quiet this year and haven't released a single since January(!) and the next one won't be until March, a fourteen month gap between singles. Have been wanting to do some group posts but that's been out of the question, even solo ones have been.

 Two long time members were supposed to graduate this year but because of the virus they've ben pushed back to next year, that's good in a way but if the group doesn't do anything together it didn't mean a thing then. Will try to work on at least one more solo post and it's for one of Mina's closest friends in SKE. That's Akari, those two are such huge faves of mine so it's hard to say who I like more and both would be in my top seven for hottest Idols ever.

 Hmmm, seems they're still at odds about sharing Nao but there's plenty of me to go around! So though SKE has been so quiet this year Mina hasn't or at least the past two months she hasn't been. Have a good variety of things, know most want to view some scorching spreads and will end off with a pair. Have viewed Mina in a few AKB dramas or specials and think she's a decent actress which is what she'll probably due after graduation. So far we haven't heard any rumors though they should be starting soon as she'll be turning 29 next April. These fine pics are from a recent interview with 'The TV.jp' site.

 The interview was promoting the movie "Village Van!" which came out on October 23rd. It was a 2019 series and what a fun and quirky show it appears to be yet haven't been able to locate it anywhere. It's set in a wacky bookstore and the main star is one of my top actresses. Mina dyed her hair blonde for the role and wonder if that means she's having more fun?

 Sone great new was announced in late September that Mina was going to have a second photobok. Her first came out in August 2019 and was a decent seller and most books from '48' members aren't these days. The PB didn't sell a huge amount but much better than expected as there were two reprints. Pics here are from an event she had for the PB when it came out, don't expect there to be one for this book. Back in July did a post with the scans from the book which to me came close to being the top one for 2019, in case you missed the post here's the link to it: Mina's first photobook

 Mina's first PB had a decent Twitter page that had quite a few outtake pics and other tidbits, these are some of those pics which may have totaled fifty.

 Whew, maybe now you can understand why I consider Mina to be one of my all time hottest females and not just Idols. There's also a page set up for this second PB which is coming out on November 18th but don't think this page is as nearly as good as the one for the first book.

 Not too many pics but at least there are in these pair of spreads that feature outtake ones. Am really hoping there will be more than just these two spreads for the photobook, if there are expect another post very soon. This set here is from the November 24th issue of Flash and how about that bottom pic?! Mina used to appear in the Young Gangan magazine so often and bet she's been their cover girl more than anyone else so it's odd there's no spread from them.

 Speaking of being a cover girl she does have the honor for this last batch of pics which is from the November 23rd edition of Big Comic Spirits. Often there's a behind the scenes video for the mag but so far there isn't but would think one will be upcoming or at least hope so. Mina doesn't have too many gravure videos but the ones she's had truly rate an A++++, have one after the pics from 2018.
