'Top Twenty Faves' countdown for 2020: Position #8, the devilishly sensuous Minami Umezawa!

 Links to the previous positions: #16, Yume .... #15, Miru .... #14, Hinako .... #13, Yume .... #12, Mio

Ahead of the pace so will be taking a few days off from the countdown as I really need to work on the posts for the top seven. A main reason they're so high on the list is because of how busy they were in 2020 yet I think it'll be a struggle for them to top these first nine posts. Won't be looking back months from now saying this fave should have been higher, already now that while I'm writing this up. But the numbers just didn't work out well for her as two Nogi members will be in the top five, just couldn't see having three place that high. But I'm thinking those two will never reach that level again while Minami certainly could be a candidate for the top five next year too.

Out of the top twenty seven are J-Pop Idols, at first thought it was the usual amount but it is a record. So isn't five in the top ten and there's never been more than three before, last year there was just one. By far the biggest reason was because of the health crisis this year which really affected the actresses who I've followed for a while and try to do many posts for. So many of their dramas and films were either delayed for a few months or until next year, a few times they were just cancelled. So from April until August there weren't many posts for them so that's why instead of eight in the top ten there's just five. But on the flip side Idols weren't as affected as much and they really had the same amount of posts for the whole year though have ben weening off doing them the past two months. If things return to somewhat normalcy next year that seven in the top twenty will drop to four or five.

Try not to have prior years play a huge factor in the rankings but when I get to those two other Nogi members you'll understand why they're a bit higher than they may have deserved. It's also a mini payback as they were always lower on the list then they should have been. Recently have been saying how there would be a decrease in Nogi posts with the main reason being there's hardly any of my faves left! But didn't want to start the decrease so soon and you haven't been seeing any posts because there's really been so little to post about. May have one non-list solo post very soon but that's it, as I've said a few times December could be the slowest month for activities.

Also had said that would be only be doing solo posts for the first and second generation members. Upon further reflection thought how could I not do posts for Minami who to me is Nogi's sexiest member ever. So expect her posts do continue though there won't be as many in the future, having a photobook plus appearing in a drama and film really boosted her total amount of posts. That drama was "Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken" and what a nightmare viewing it has been. Three teams picked up the six episode series and not one finished all the shows. But a new team has just picked the project up and am confident this time it'll be finished. Once it is will start anew with and view the first four shows again, then do recaps for it but that date is unknown.

Minami will be in a NTV TV movie that will be airing on December 20th, highly doubt it'll be subbed but then again sometimes Nogi shows like that do. It also stars a fave of everyone here, it's set on an airplane heading back to Japan where a passenger falls severely ill and needs to be saved. Hmmmm, who wouldn't mind having this pair as your flight attendants?

At 170 cm Minami is Nogi's tallest member and misses by one cm of having that honor for all '46' gals. With that being said hope you planned well and bought an extra long stocking to fit her in....

Minami's first photobook titled "Yume no Chikaku" was released on September 29th. The Oricon chart sales ends on November 30th, by then the book had become the sixth best selling PB of 2020 with 96,000 copies sold. But that's not a bad total for two months as so many other books had ten or so months to accumulate their sales, here's a few promo/outtake pics from it.

That bottom pic is my fave. Shame there was no event for it as I really wanted to see Minami by herself at one and bet she would have floored us(me). One other thing that affected everyone, actresses and Idols, was that there was only one major fashion show after February and there's usually about five. There was one held on September 5th at an empty arena which is better than nothing. That was a 'Tokyo Girls Collection' show and have a few oldie pics here from their September 2019 Autumn show.

Few recent Nogi blog pics, she does a better job at posting than most members.

Forgot to check what was in Minami's last post which has ben her most popular to date. What I wanted to see if this spread from the December issue of Entame was there, some of me says YES, part of me says NO so just in case it wasn't here's a superb set of pics.

My top Minami pics are often the ones from the With Online site, here's plenty from the past month. At one time five Nogi members were part of their OL campaign but she's the only one left.

Minami will be sharing a spread in their next issue again with her mate who finished tenth.

We've hit the end, huge post but perhaps not as large a some others but then again no Idol has had as many posts as Minami since July 1st. She is the cover so often for Weekly Shonen, probably four times this year and this spread is from their November 25th edition. Do know in Minami's last post there was a spread for CM Now, didn't know it then but there was a short promo video for it which you can view after the pics.
