Nogizaka46: The illustrious 'Happy 29th Birthday to Mai Shinuchi' post!!!!

 

 Don't blame you for thinking there may not have been another Nogi post as I was kind of wondering too! To my surprise there were five member solo posts in December but no regular group ones since November 14th. Did start that 'Second Generation series' that month and did have a post in December for it, no regular one for this month but this will count for the series. Have to admit I'm kind of baffled at the lack on Nogi activities these past few months, been posting about them for seven years and have never seen such a quiet stretch.

 The baffling part is because their 26th single will be coming out in four days and thought the members would be everywhere but the opposite has happened. In December there were a few Undergirls Christmas concerts plus the group did appear on some end of the year music shows. Outside of those things there's been zero events, mag spreads, cards and many other activities you see in these group posts. Keep saying that'll be changing but am wondering when? Not trying to make any excuses for the lack of Nogi posts but at times there's not much I can do about it. But it's also been a case for most of the Japanese entertainment industry the past two months or at least it seems that way to me, been so few happenings for my top fave actresses and other J-Pop Idols.

 So it's kind of surprising the one member who has been somewhat busy is Mai and do have a lot of new pics of her today. Over the years she's been one of the more difficult members to post about yet she also had a solo post last month. And now that a graduation will be taking place(end of February?) Mai has an excellent chance of moving into the #1 position for my fave Nogi members, she's been in the top three for a few years. Now that she's hit the age of 29 think some fans can't wait for her to graduate but to me hope Mai stays at least until she's thirty. Bet there are fans like me who prefer the older members  and would you rather follow the activities of someone her age or a new seventeen year old member?

 Know who I would choose 100% of the time and she still has the most glamorous legs of any Idol. Today is January 22nd and that's the official day for her turning 29, just one new solo pic for it which is the bottom one with a few from prior birthdays.

 January 22nd is also the date a good mate of Mai's turns a year older too, she's become the hardest member to post about and that top pic is from today.

 Mai isn't too popular here or at least her previous ten solo posts weren't. But think this will turn out to be one of the better Nogi posts of the year and have close to eighty pics that have never been in a post, about sixty are from the past month. Only a few pics from this week's 'All Night Nippon' radio show which she's been hosting for close to five years now, it's had a few name changes. Her guest this week needs no introduction, she's gone eons without a post and in two weeks will be turning 27.

 Few older yet new for here 'NogiKoi' came cards, think my supply is now exhausted.

 Plus a few recent pics from her Nogi blog. Have always said how super duper Mai's legs are and they may make her seem quite tall, she's only really average at 165 cm but for Nogi that is tall.

 Have been noticing so many clothing/fashion sites have really cut back on the amount of new pics plus many that have mags are doubling up their issues. These pics are from the andGirl site, Mai has been a model with them for almost two years but no new pics since these early December ones.

 But oddly the Oggi site had more new pics of her than ever, these are from the past  month.

 Mai's first and only photobook came out in November 2017. Bet it'll be her only one as it was one of the lowest sellers for any Nogi PB yet to me it was one of their best. The photo shoot took place in Thailand, have a few outtake pics which are also ones that have never been posted before.

 Mai has never had a big role in any Nogi drama but she has done many things outside of the group.  Such as appearing in stage plays and on January 14th her fourth one opened. It's called "Atami Murder Case" and she plays the lead heroine Tomoko Mizuno. Here's some event pics from it's January 14th opening night which took place at the Kinokuniya Hall in Tokyo and will be going on until the 31st.

 The cast followed up that mini press conference with a rehearsal.

 That bottom pic makes you want to check it out. No regular mag spreads for today and as I've moaned about what a quiet stretch it's been for them and not just for Nogi. Mai will be in the next issue of BLT and think they've also combined their issues which is why it's been a wait. Her last post had some ultra superb pics from it's photo shoot, have even more for today and that first pair....

 This was a quick post to write up as we're already at the end and how I miss doing these kinds for Nogi, know you viewers do too. So will leave off with some fabulous pics of Mai which her fans may have seen before but who can ever get tired of them? Definitely not me and these are a reason why she soon may become my current #1 Nogi member, perhaps these can gain her some new fans too. As is the norm there's no new videos save for her radio show. So will go way back in time to May 2014 when the group had a series called 'Nogizaka46 Quarterly' for the BLT magazine. Wish there had been more than the ones in 2014 as those videos are among my faves.
