Park Eun-Bin: Yet again another overdue post for her....

Third time have titled a post as an overdue one for her but can't put the blame on me as there's not many others I'd rather post about more. In 2020 Eun-Bin did have 41 posts(!), a record for a Korean actress but not really as 35 were for drama recaps and viewed three of her series last year. Bit overdue as this is her first regular post since August and that hurt her position on 2020's top twenty list. For the first time Eun-Bin qualified, she finished 18th but really wanted to see her in the top ten. But as long as she qualifies guess that's good enough for me, will make sure she has those six posts for this year's list. Don't really have any major goals for this year but one thing I want to see more of are posts for Korean actresses. There were plenty from 2017-19 but there was such a decrease in them for 2020 and seems like the virus curtailed their activities much more than Japanese actresses. But already have two posts for them this year and 2-3 each week would be a decent pace.

Posts for most Korean actresses are not popular at all, mainly just a pair get a decent amount of views for their posts and the most popular one has a post two below this. And out of those actresses sadly have to say that Eun-Bin's are probably the most unpopular ones though didn't check the stats. That doesn't bother me in the least and can understand fully why her posts don't get a large amount of views. Most of her pics are quite conservative and even at events she doesn't dress in a glamorous style.

But have mentioned in so many dozens of posts how I prefer women like Eun-Bin over almost all gravure models and Idols though they do have many more posts. If you look at the top twenty faves lists you'll see so many other gals that are similar to her, for instance my #1 from 2020. However it's the actresses and Idols who dress skimpy that get most mag spreads and other modeling gigs, perhaps it's because I'm getting older but the more down to earth females like Eun-Bin appeal to me more.

Eun-Bin starred in two full length dramas this year which is the main reason we didn't see more of her at events or in mags. That brought up a poser for me, is it better to see a fave actress of yours in a weekly drama for ~twenty weeks or to be in more mags and events? That's a tough question and though it means less regular posts for someone would go for appearing in more dramas. Not many different activities for today though there's about 45 new pics, that means I can still save some of her older ones you've never seen for future posts. Eun-Bin isn't much of a social media person and that's a positive to me, she does have an IG site and these are the only ones since October.

One thing I have noticed is that when you do regular posting for a fave viewers tend to check out their older posts quite often. But seeing this is her first one in many months she may have been forgotten and would love to do a post a month for the year which probably won't come close to happening. As you faithful viewers have noticed do a lot of 'lists posts' though they all seem to happen in December. For all of the different ones I've done one that will never happen is for my top dramas of the year. Think I watched forty last year, finished 35 of them. But bet a dozen of the shows aired before 2020 and will watch many from last year in 2021 so it doesn't make much sense to have a yearly list.

If anything a stretch of years would work out well for a list, say my top dramas from 2016-20. Do often mention what my top show(s) of the year were and for the last five years it's been a Korean drama. Twice Eun-Bin has been in my #1 drama of the year, in 2018 it was "The Ghost Detective" and what an underrated show that was. In 2020 my top show was "Stove League" and that was just one of the most enjoyable series I've ever viewed. If you're a Baseball fan would recommend it and the title refers to the offseaon in Baseball. There was plenty of playing but it concentrated on what teams do during the Winter such as make trades, sign free agents, hire/fire coaches, sell tickets, etc. She played Se-Young in the show who was the only female operations manager in the KBL. Her team Dreams were cellar dwellers every year but a new GM was hired to shake things up and he certainly did, there never a dull moment in the drama.

Recapped the entire series and also did the same for her second 2020 drama, "Do You Like Brahms?". That was another fine show but it was impossible to top "Stove League", 'Brahms' was a very interesting but during the middle episodes it was just so darn depressing. Switched gears for the last few shows and think I gave it a solid rating of 8.6/10. By the title you may have guessed it was about music and you're right about that. In the show the main actors did play the instruments which is a rarity, perhaps it's never happened.

Eun-Bin's character Son-A was a 28 year old violinist who after graduating with a degree in Business returned to college to learn the violin and as mentioned she really did play the instrument so she must have spent so much of her free time practicing. It paid off as she was the winner of two awards at the 'SBS Drama Awards' show that took place on December 31st. Eun-Bin won the grand prize for Best Actress and also the Best Couple award with her partner from the series. She also won a Best Actress award for her performance in the "Stove League" drama and forgot to check if there was a ceremony for that awards show.

It was about time she won some awards, the previous ten times she had been nominated she lost! Due to the health crisis the show was held without an audience and was streamed live so there was no red carpet stroll which are usually the best pics from an awards show. Will end off with this huge batch of pics which all rate an A++++ from me. These are from the December issue of Arena but have the spread mixed in with many pics from the photo shoot which were at Eun-Bin's agency site. There's many videos on YT from the above show, have one after the pics and she looks so adorable which is a word you don't use too often for a 28 year old, semi glamorous then too.
