Risa Watanabe: Her unsurpassable 43rd post....

Sometimes I really, really get an urge to do a post for someone and nothing is going to stop me! That happens often with Risa and of all the gals I post about I enjoy doing ones for her over all others save for one. Her last post was just twelve days so could have waited a bit but like I said when I get that urge to do a post for someone! That last post for Risa has been her most viewed one since last September so hopefully her popularity is inching back up there. In 2019 her posts were the most popular as they had an average of 1,110 views and that number is much higher now. But in 2020 she tumbled all the way down to 17th place with an average of 565 views per post, what happened?!

As far as Keya goes there probably won't be any more posts this month but expect a few solo member ones on May. On April 14th they released their second single under the Sakura name, title of the main track is "Ban". Of course it topped the charts in it's first week with sales a little over 373,000 copies sold. Not a bad number for 95% of the J-Pop groups but not for a '46' group and it sold slightly less than their first single "Nobody's Fault". The new single is solid but like the first one was disappointed in the other tunes. To me Keya's best songs on their singles weren't the hits but the B-sides, most were such upbeat and enjoyable tunes. But they now have this system where the top eight members appear on each song and rotate centers, lot of other fans besides myself don't like that system which could have played a part in the so-so sales. But everyone knew the sales would decrease after a 22 month gap without singles, perhaps that 373,000+ copies sold then isn't too bad of a number.

On to some new Risa things and am surprised there's about forty new pics since that last post. Also have over twenty older ones that have never been in a post, this is her fourth one in three months and that's a pace which is solid enough though one every week would please me to no end! Have just about exhausted my batch of 'KeyaKise' promo cards for their online game. That's not a bad thing as we can move on to some other collections but there's not nearly as many. All of these have never been posted before, most are group Summer cards though the bottom two just came out last month.

There's still restrictions on certain events but there's been just as many premieres, screenings and events for dramas. So I'm curious why we never see any group ones with Keya or Nogi members, kind of miss including those pics in posts and have always liked their more 'live' pics. Least there was a TGC show two months ago but 'Girls Award' cancelled their Spring show. So let's go back in time for some superb pics which are from their September 16, 2018 Autumn/Winter show that took place at the Mukahari Messe Hall in Chiba, some of these pics weren't in the original post.

Sadly Risa has always been Keya's worst blogger which leaves be a bit bewildered. She's a bit of a quiet woman which I've noticed so often on their shows or at events so you'd think writing up blog posts would give her a chance to say a few words to the fans. That's not the case and only once in a blue moon does she do an entry. Have some blog pics here from the past month but as usual almost are from other member's posts but she does look oki doki in the pics.

Bottom two pics were from last week making an appearance on a Nogi gal's radio show. Risa just celebrated her fourth anniversary as a Non-no model but her pcs for them have been up and down the last year. One month she'll have twenty pics at their site and a large mag spread, following month will have two new pics and a small spread. Just have two new pics from their site since their last post and there were only two solo pages in their June issue.

Last post had some outtake pics for the April 29th edition of Young Jump. Have the whole set for today and it's the first time in two years the 'W-Watanabe' duo have done a spread together. Next month will work on having a post for the other half.

We've hit the end but will be ending off on a good note as Risa is the cover girl for the June issue of Brody. "Borderless" is a drama that began last month starring members from the three '46' groups. It has two more episodes to go and then I'll be viewing it, if they're good shows then will do some posts for them, will definitely do them for Risa's two shows. Today the key members held a round table discussion about the drama on 'Showroom' which you can view after the pics.
