Nogizaka46: The fifth peachy keen... 'Yuki Yoda bonus post' for 2021!

 

 Hmmm, think a Pear would be a better fruit to describe her!!!! Two days ago Nogi began their mini Summer tour which will have a dozen dates, it'll end in September. At the first concert in Osaka they announced their 28th single would be coming out on September 22nd, that's only fifteen weeks between singles which may be a record for the group. I think a big reason for coming back so soon is that single #27 'Fingers Crossed' was a mild flop, while not their lowest selling single in a way sales wise it was their most disappointing. That came out on June 9th and to date 665,000 copies have been sold but 590,000 in week one! Know many fans, including me, weren't happy with the lineup plus there's been so many key graduations in the last year. While 665,000 isn't a horrible figure it'll struggle to break 700 K, singles sixteen through 25 all sold over a million copies so you can see it's been such a massive drop in sales. But Nogi is still the most popular J-Pop group around and have been for a few years though guess that popularity may have peaked.

 

 Have a strong feeling this single will be much better, have a prediction on who the center will be and will say that in that member's next post which I will do by the end of the month. It won't be Yuki as a center, she's had the honor on some of the coupling songs but doubt we'll ever see her as a center for the major song. There's nothing wrong with that as only about ten Nogi members have ever been a center and at times think that position is overrated. It was just eleven days ago Yuki had her last post and this has to be a record for the shortest span between them. While there hasn't been a lot of activity for her or Nogi as of late because they've been getting ready for their tour do have 55 new pics for today plus twenty older ones never in a post.

 Yuki's posts are quite unique compared to other Idols. While there may not be any new gravure pics they still get a huge amount of views and that's not the case for the vast majority of other Idols. Looks like Yuki will retain her crown as being the most popular gal here for 2021, she had the honor last year and in the first half of this year her posts had the highest average of views by a wide margin. As the title says this is her fifth post of the year so she'll easily qualify for the top twenty faves list, have no clue where she would finish on it. Enough of an intro, let's get to the new happenings.

 Will start off with a few pics from the Nogi group blog, seeing how it's been only eleven days since her last post there aren't many and the bottom are from the first concert of their Summer tour.

 What Yuki seems to have more than any other member are new group cards, have 23 for today and there's more I'm holding back. This first batch of ten are from their SSR+ collection and all of today's cards have come out in the last few months.

 Second set of cards are from Nogi's 'Always With You' series. Those bottom three are so superb and need to investigate if Nogi has some sort of new promo campaign beginning.

 Yuki's last post had a spread for the Summer issue of Platinum Flash. She was the cover girl and here's some bonus pics from the magazine's site. 

 Yuki's second photobook that came out in March 2020 has been such a success story. At 230,000 copies sold it's the third highest selling Idol book ever and wonder when the third one will be released? She did have a first PB that I've never posted which came out in December 2017, undecided if I should post the entire book or not. The first few in this set are from the book and these are event pics that had never been posted before from a fan greeting session back in January 2018. Title of the book is 'Temperature of the Sun' and the photo shoot took place in Shanghai.

 Yuki will be the cover girl for the next special issue of BLT White Graph and those are kind of like mini photobooks. All to date have been tremendous, have some advance pics here and while some were in her last post three are new.

 .... July 28th issue of Weekly Shonen. Once again Yuki is a cover girl and she won the 2020 award for being the Idol to appear on the most magazine covers. No new videos so will have a short yet fun Yuki CM from last August promoting Nogi's second 'All Music Video Collection' DVD.
