Nao Kanzaki: 2021's 'Top Twenty Faves' preliminary list #1, positions eight to one....

When the final list is done for the top twenty all the positions will have a solo post. The last five years at least two Korean actresses have made the list. But this year the total just may be ZERO and that kind of disappoints me as I'm such a huge fan of Korean dramas but will admit I was growing slightly tired of them. Above is Han-Na who was eleventh on last year's list and is the only one who has a slight chance of making the list.

She's had four posts but there's been too many older pics in them so it'll be a stretch for her this year. As much as I've talked about how quiet my Japanese faves have been this year it goes triple for my top Korean actresses. That's one reason for the drop off in posts this year, only six to date this year for them and as mentioned four posts for the above alluring woman. The biggest question is where has Suzy been this year? Suzy's made the list the past four years and in 2020 finished in the third position. She's usually had eight or so posts a year but has had none since December!?!?

So you have to remember a yearly list is not an all time one. It's just for a year and who has been my fave during that twelve month stretch, on occasion women I like so much finish quite low on the list or don't even make it. One of the oddest things is that Miyuki has never made a yearly list. She's my hottest gal ever and would make my all time top twenty list. But Miyuki has never had the six posts to qualify yet over the years has had a total of forty. After her pics below is Yuki who is the top fave of everyone here and I do like her quite a bit. She needs one more post to qualify which will happen but wish she did more activities such as being in a drama or another movie.

Will have the same format as the above post which is having the countdown from highest to lowest and having last year's position. Everyone in the top eight made last year's faves list, while it's nice to have some newbies make the cut think it's better when there's not too many. As mentioned in that first post it is very important to have a lot of posts in a year without any long gaps between them which is the case for everyone in the current top eight but know most positions will change on the final list.

#8.... Mio Imada, last year was 12th and has made the list two times.

She's someone I expect to make the list every year but probably not much higher than this position. Mio is a gal who I've liked immensely since the first time I saw her but can't quite put my finger on what separates her from the gals who finished above her. Do have a new mag spread plus some other goodies so hope to have a post for her this weekend.

#7.... Risa Watanabe, last year was sixth and this will make four years on the list.

Though I have raved often how the top two for this preliminary list could be my top two of all time in a way this could be my top gal of the past three years. It's hard to explain fully how much I adore Risa and had she been in Hina or Nogi she'd be battling for the #1 spot every year. Know I moan about the lack of activities Keya has doe the last two years but no Idol has had more posts since 2018, she's had eight so far this year. Little over a month ago had a post for her photobook which has been so popular, but it was released in 2019 so it won't help her position for this year.

#6.... Miru Shiroma, in 2020 she was 15th on the list.

That was her only time making the top twenty but she did deserve to in 2019. For a while thought Miru would be in the hunt for this year's number one but don't think she'll make it. What hurts a bit is that while she had seven posts from mid May to mid July there's been no others but there should be at least one coming up. This weekend is when her NMB graduation concert will be taking place.

#5.... Nashiko Momotsuki, ninth on last year's list, first time making it.

Kind of a high ranking and I wouldn't be surprised if she does drop a few spots on the final list. Fifth would be the highest position ever for a gravure model, of course Nashiko does much more than gravure pics but that's what's made her so  popular. May be hard to believe but she already has eleven posts for the year which is the second highest total of anyone.

#4.... Kyoko Saito, 17th in 2020 which was her first year on the list.

She did deserve to be a bit higher last year but still wouldn't have made the top ten. Not much to add in about Kyoko who will be my #1 Idol for the year, expect her next post around September 5th when she celebrates her 24th birthday. Thought last year any of the top six had a shot to be number one but this year it's just the top four who will be in the running. Everyone in the top eleven made last year's list, seven were in the top ten and glad to see my long time faves have remained busy.

#3.... Miona Hori, second on last year's list(!) and it'll be four times on the list.

This is a nice surprise as after her March graduation from Nogi expected the posts to slow way down. That didn't happen as she's had ten already this year and expect more very soon. Miona has her first starring role in a drama which is titled "Saretagawa no Blue", just viewed the first two episodes and will have the first three recaps coming up soon. Drama recaps don't count as regular posts but an activity like that does help someone's position out though hard to move up from #2!!!!

#2.... Marie Iitoyo, last years Number One!!!!

Her fourth year too making the list and it's actually a tie for first right now though never would have a tie for any position. It's been a rare quiet stretch for Marie who has had only three posts in the last two months after having thirteen in five months. Have a feeling she's filming at least one drama and in my eyes she's still the fave to beat to become number one, she could be the first two time champion.

#1.... Rika Izumi, fifth last year and has made the top six every year since 2017.

In every list I've done from faves, top photobooks, hottest women, etc., Rika has never finished lower than sixth yet has never been #1 on any list. It's so close for number one at the moment so thought for once Rika deserved to top a list for as mentioned the above gal is still the one to beat. Rika will also be battling the above woman when it comes to doing my 'All Time Top Twenty Faves' list and can't go wrong with either. By the end of the month will finish recapping her "Takane no Hana" drama, have five more shows to view and it's her first time having the lead role in a series. Rika has been a busy woman this year with seven huge posts but almost everyone in the top twenty hasn't been as busy as they were in previous years. We all know why and there's nothing we can do about it but at least most of my mega faves have had a high amount of posts up until now. Will do an intro post or two at the end of November for the list and will start it shortly after that, all positions will have a solo post.
