Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nogizaka46: The first glittering and hopefully not last.... Ranze Terada post!!!!

Hopefully there can be a post next month and will try to make it happen. Thought Ranze's graduation date was October 28th but that was the day of her final Undergirls show. December 12th is now the official departure date and many fans will miss her. I really thought things were going to work out so much better for Ranze in Nogi and so many other fans thought so too. She was a Senbatsu for two singles plus was doing many things outside of the group but for some reason she didn't become as popular as she deserved. Of course being a second generation member has hurt Ranze's and her mate's careers as management overlooked them for so long. What a shame as the second generation members are my faves from Nogi.

The saddest part about the graduation is that five days ago Ranze announced on her Nogi blog she would be retiring from show biz. It's understandable as Ranze didn't have any current activities outside of Nogi. She turned 23 back in September so she's still young enough to further her education, she had a long running column until last year for Nikkan Sports. Idols retiring from show biz is becoming so common these days, the entertainment field is just so flooded with ex-Idols and very few have been success stories.

Have an even hundred pics for this post and there's a little bit of everything. Though this is Ranze's first solo post but she's had many pics in group ones and think all for today are brand new for here. Will start off with some cards from Nogi's 'Always With You' series.

More Nogi cards which are for their 'NogiKoi' online game.

Few recent pics from her Nogi blog. That top one is with the other second generation gals and their number will soon be down to four, it was eight when the year began.

Least her best mate is still with Nogi but for how long....

Ranze's last Undergirls performance took place on October 28th at the Tachikawa Stage Garden in Tokyo. Had thought that was her graduation date but instead it's now on December 12th, think that'll be a concert with the whole group. Pics here are from that October 28th show, she's the only Undergirl to be the center for three songs. Do have to say the UG or 2G shows are often better than the regular Nogi concerts.

This small batch is from a Nikkan Sports interview and have the link to it, she discussed her career and also her first photobook: Nikkan Sports

It'll be Ranze's first and only photobook, it came out on November 9th. These are some outtake pics from it, looks to be Nogi's most conservative book but then again doesn't she look fabulous in these pics?! It's just the fourth Nogi photobook of the year and all have been for graduations, wonder why the remaining members haven't had one in exactly a year?

The photo shoots took place in Kobe, Awaji island, Tokushima, Naruto and Tottori. You can see her on a camel above and never knew there was a semi desert in Japan. Will be ending off with a pair of new mag spreads to promote the book, first one is from the November 18th Young Jump.

Final set of Ranze pics are from the November 7th issue of WPB. Following the pics is a short video from Nogi's latest, in it is when Ranze announced her graduation.
