Yuumi Shida: Her wondrous "RESTART" photobook scans....

 

 Here's a medium sized fave I've missed, only a medium sized one due to lack of posts though this is her sixth but first for 2021. The main reason is Yuumi took a long, long break and did so little in 2021, really not much busier this year but it appears things are changing. She was an original member of the J-Pop group Yumemiru Adolescence, I really enjoyed their music which was so upbeat and rocking. But after their superb "Melon Soda" single that came out in July 2018 the group went through some changes as that was Yuumi's last single with them though she didn't graduate until December 2019.

 Four members graduated at the same time and the group didn't release a regular single until May of this year but did have two digital singles in 2020. So don't know if Yuumi will be continuing her singing career, doesn't appear so as it's been so long since that last YA single. The group also has a pair of 'sister groups' but I don't follow them as closely, that happens with me when your faves leave a group but I highly recommend checking out their tunes from 2012-18. Melon Soda PV

 "RESTART" is Yuumi's third photobook and it was released on May 12th. Think the title is referring to Yuumi restarting her career as her contract with her long time agency ended in June, not sure if she's resigned with another. Yuumi did open her own fan site on November 1st and what I hope to have is another post for her next month and will have more info on it then. In that post will also be a pair of mag spreads for the photobook and a few other things such as interview pics and such. On to this terrific book which contains 98 pics and you can see in a few of them she wrote a message to her fans. You'll also notice in a few of the bottom pics that Yuumi cut her hair during the photo shoot, next February 11th she'll be hitting the age of 25.
