Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Mai Shiraishi: Perhaps her top post Nogi mag spread to date plus much more....

For the next two days may only have one post for each day. Want to start on the pair of posts for who the most popular women were here for 2021, not difficult to do but very time consuming. Was going to have those posts on Thursday but wanted to move it up one day and know most viewers really enjoy those posts. Speaking of posts Mai's last one was just eleven days ago and titled it 'Perhaps the return to normalcy?' and maybe she read it! To me this year was kind of a disappointing one for Mai and have said that in a few posts. Not that it was a 'bad year' but when you compare it to the previous seven years in a way it was.

However that last post was her top one since about May and as the title says this may contain her best spread since leaving Nogi. After dropping out of the 'fave's list' this year seems Mai wants to make the top five once again and she had made the list the previous four years. With these two posts she may have taken an early lead for 2022's #1 gal but it's so early won't mention next year's faves list for a long time. But will talk a bit about the second 'Top Twenty Faves of All Time' a bit more, hopefully will do that in June and can she crack the top five?

Have about fifty new pics for today which is quite a lot in eleven days. First off will have the link to Mai's new CM for Asahi Super Dry that also features her ex-Nogi mate, the pair have done around five CM's for the beer: Asahi CM

Mai isn't much of an Instagram poster but she does have a YT channel so may have a video from that to end the post off with.

Another link which is to the Model Press site and an interview that was done on November 26th. It was for this year's 'Tokyo Lights' show and Mai was the ambassador, last post had many pics from a December 10th event for the show: Model Press interview

Only a quartet of new modeling pics which are for Feliamo.

Mai has never finished first on any kind of list I've done, been in the top ten usually but just has never broken through yet she does have a slight shot at being #1 on that all time list. A busy next seven months would help and and think it will be a busy period for her. On January 10th her next drama "Mystery to Iunakare" will be starting and it looks to be so much better than her lone 2021 series, if subbed will be recapping the show. Then on February 11th the film "Usogui" will be released, Mai has the lead female role in the film which also looks to be decent. Here's a new spread from volume 76 of Screen to promote the film.

Oooops, almost forgot this fine set of pics which are from an interview with the TokyoTokyo site, mainly talked about her post Nogi career: TokyoTokyo interview

We've hit the end and as the post's title mentioned this is her best mag spread since leaving Nogi. Mai is the cover girl for the January 7th issue of Friday and doesn't she look as good as ever(!), maybe even better! After the pics is a new video from Mai's YT channel that's for Christmas, already has almost 500,000 views after two days.
