Marie Iitoyo: The "Inakunare Gunjo" movie primer post....

Off the subject for a moment but don't we need new pics like the ones above? Those are from Marie's first and only photobook which came out exactly four years ago and will we ever see another book? On that I have no clue but that's something which would make my year, those pics are truly out of this world but need new ones as those and others have been posted too often.

As the title says this is a post for the "Inakunare Gunjo" film that came out in September 2019. Finally found a decent subbed version of it and was going to do a pair of posts for it which I hope will be done by this weekend. Back when the movie came out had many pics from the events and some interviews but they were scattered over three posts. So grabbed all of those pics plus a few new ones from the events for this post which will be among the lowest viewed ones of the year! Marie is just so unpopular here, it's not that she doesn't have any fans but while almost everyone's posts the last three years have seen a big increase in views hers haven't and as a matter of fact they may get less views than ever! Oh well, not much I can do about that but why don't we call her fan base small in quantity but way up there in quality! The goal was to get to 200 posts by the end of the 2023 but don't think that'll happen, over seventy are needed and while it could happen odds are against it. Marie will be in a drama beginning in March called "Hiru" which will be subbed so that's definitely a series I'll be checking out.

Just viewed the 104 minute film last night, all in one sitting which is rare for me. Took over a hundred screenshots so the review for it will need to be two posts and will get into what took place just a bit further down. First off are some interview pics with the Crank site.

Even more Marie interview pics for the movie with Hustle Press.

Won't give away too many spoilers here as not to ruin the review posts. It was a decent film but like many others who watched it was scratching my head on wondering what happened? Sounds like an odd thing to say but there were so many events that went unexplained but all in all in was quite interesting though there were a few slow periods. Marie played the major role of Yuu Manabe who one day woke up on the small island of Kaidan. She had no memory of what had taken place for the past three months nor why she ended up where she did. There's 2,000 residents on this island though the only ones we really saw were the students at the high school. Not sure of the total but seemed as though there were a few hundred of them and why did they end up on this remote island?

On it there's no phone service and while you can access the internet it's read only. The students there were considered to be ones that were no longer wanted yet none of them had committed any crimes and seemed like decent group of older teens. They were all content living on the island and needed a shakeup which is what happened with the arrival of Yuu who from the first second wanted to leave the place but it was seemingly impossible. Her best friend Nanakusa was a resident of the island and the pair hadn't seen each other in two years, did turn into a bit of a love story at the end. This was a film that needs to be viewed twice and also one that really could use a part two. So many questions I had about the students on the island and also who this 'Witch' person was who controlled the island. Here's a few screenshots from the movie and Marie really looked so super duper.

Now on to some terrific Marie pics from a pair of events for the film, this first batch was from the film's only screening which took place at the Wald 9 in Shinjuku on August 11, 1019.

The premiere for the movie took place on September 6th at the same location, it also goes by the name of 'Go Away Ultramarine'. Have the link to one of the film's trailers plus after the pics is a video of the above screening: Movie trailer
